China Lighting Association Expert Group Visits Liangnong for Re-evaluation of "China Lighting Manufacturing Base"

　　Liangnong Town, Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province is one of the main production bases for outdoor lighting fixtures in China, and its products occupy a considerable share in the domestic lighting market. In April 2005, Liangnong Town, Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province was jointly awarded the honorary title of "China Lighting Manufacturing Base" by the China National Light Industry Federation and the China Association of Lighting Industry. In 2008, it passed the re-evaluation assessment conducted by the China National Light Industry Federation and the China Association of Lighting Industry.

In June of this year, the Liangnong Town People's Government submitted a re-evaluation application. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Industry Standards for the Honorary Title of Characteristic Regions of China's Light Industry" and the "Industry Standards for Granting the Honorary Title of Characteristic Regions of China's Lighting Electrical Appliance Industry", a re-evaluation and assessment expert group jointly formed by the China Light Industry Federation and the China Association of Lighting Industry conducted a re-evaluation and acceptance inspection of Liangnong Town, Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province — designated as the "China Lighting Manufacturing Base" — on December 2-3, 2011. The leader of the expert group was Liu Shengping, Chairman of the China Lighting Association, and the members included Li Ying, Deputy Director of the China Light Industry Federation; Zhang Haicong, Honorary Chairman of the Shanghai Illumination Society; and Shi Xiaohong, Deputy Director of the National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, among others.

The expert group held a briefing attended by the town government and relevant departments, as well as a symposium with several leading manufacturers, in Liangnong Town. The inspection team also visited production enterprises including Ningbo Liaoyuan Lighting Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Kanghui Lighting Co., Ltd., and conducted on-site inspections of the Liangnong Lighting City.
