Dalian Semiconductor Lighting Enterprises Compete in the Global "Light Source Revolution"

Semiconductor lighting is one of the strategic emerging industries prioritized for national development. Cultivating the semiconductor industry and forming a competitive green economic growth point has become an important choice for many regions to transform their development models. In recent years, Dalian has prioritized semiconductor lighting as a key area for development. Dalian Guangming Chemical Design Research Institute's mature technologies such as high-purity ammonia occupy a leading position in China. Meiming epitaxial wafers have reached an annual production capacity of 300,000 epitaxial wafers and 6 billion chips. Jiafeng Electronics has successfully developed a fully automatic die bonder, filling a domestic gap. Great Wall Optoelectronics' "Century Great Wall" display screens won the bids for the Beijing Olympics and Shanghai World Expo. Sanwei Heat Transfer, with internationally advanced new heat dissipation technology with independent intellectual property rights, has successfully solved the technical problem of heat dissipation for high-power LED lamps, defeating more than 50 companies from countries and regions such as the United States and Japan, officially entering the U.S. high-power LED lamp market and seizing the North American high-power LED lamp market.

Faced with the competitive landscape in which many high-end technologies are in the hands of foreign companies, Dalian's semiconductor lighting enterprises have been able to showcase their strengths in this global "Light Source Revolution" thanks to their technological advantages of independent intellectual property rights. This has not only attracted the attention of domestic and foreign peers but also led more people to begin paying attention to the overall strength of Dalian's semiconductor lighting industry.
