National-level LED Lighting Testing Laboratory Officially Established in Guzhen

　　On the morning of April 20, at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Guzhen Lighting LED Accessories and Production Equipment Exhibition, Guzhen signed the "Memorandum on the Joint Construction of the LED Lighting Testing Laboratory of the National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Zhongshan)" with the Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau. This marks the official establishment of the "LED Lighting Testing Laboratory of the National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Zhongshan)" in Guzhen.

　　The reporter learned that in recent years, centered on Guzhen's professional lighting market, an LED lighting industry scale with an annual output value exceeding 50 billion yuan has been formed, including the surrounding areas of Foshan, Jiangmen, Dongguan, and other towns and districts of the city such as Xiaolan, Henglan, Banfu, etc. The industrial chain has expanded to indoor and outdoor decorative lighting fixtures, commercial engineering lighting fixtures, and extended to packaging, accessories and other segments.

　　However, due to the lack of LED standards, talent shortage, and high investment threshold for testing equipment, the current LED market prices are chaotic and product quality is uneven, seriously restricting the sustainable and healthy development of the LED lighting industry. Therefore, building a high-level, high-quality LED application testing service platform has become an urgent need for the lighting industry.

The establishment of the LED lighting testing laboratory will provide a scientific testing platform for LED production enterprises that are at the starting stage, helping enterprises clearly diagnose product quality and further reduce testing costs, guiding enterprises to cultivate outstanding LED professionals and to timely understand and master the latest domestic and international LED product information.
