China's Largest LED Light Experience Center Successfully Completed in Chengdu High-tech Zone

At the beginning of the new year, China's largest LED light experience center was successfully completed in the Xinli Light Source Industrial Park, Chengdu High-tech Zone. Let's experience the optoelectronic journey of the LED light experience center together.

Through scenario-based modes, the experience center showcases hundreds of LED products (intelligent control systems) and rare-earth luminescent products across two floors; it has also established the first LED lighting lifestyle experience hall in China. Such a large-scale centralized display of light environments is the first of its kind in the country.

Outdoor street lights: wind and light generate electricity simultaneously

Step into the experience center, where the dazzling glow of colorful LEDs makes you feel as if you have entered a wondrous world of light and electricity. Materials such as gauze, wood, bamboo, and brick each reveal a unique charm.

In the outdoor lighting display area, LED street lights and LED garden lights of varying heights are arranged to simulate multiple outdoor lighting environments, including highways, city roads, and plateau regions. Beside the exhibition hall's shutters stands a special LED light wearing a "small windmill" on top — the LED wind-solar hybrid solar light. It not only "absorbs" sunlight to generate electricity; when there is wind, the blades rotate, converting wind energy into electrical energy. Currently, this LED street light has been promoted and applied for one year in western regions with abundant sunlight and wind energy.

The special device beneath the base of urban LED street lights is remotely connected to the Internet, allowing brightness to be adjusted through computer settings. During peak hours of pedestrian and vehicle traffic from 8 PM to midnight, the brightest illumination can be set; during the early morning hours, it can be switched to power-saving mode.

Metro Lighting: LED Intelligent Control

Inside the experience center, there is one of the most "Chengdu" exhibits: a simulation of Tianfu Square Station on Chengdu Metro Line 1.

The LED lighting fixtures above the subway adopt integrated intelligent control: during subway operating hours, they are generally set to a naturally bright mode; during non-operating hours, they are switched to an energy-saving or duty mode to minimize energy consumption. In energy-saving mode, although all the lights remain on, the brightness is set very low; in duty mode, on the other hand, selective localized lighting can be applied based on actual needs, with each lamp individually controllable. The "underground parking lot" LED intelligent system uses T8 sound-activated lamp tubes, with a normal brightness of only 2 watts. When a car passes by or there is a loud sound, the brightness increases to 10 watts, making it highly energy-efficient.

Home Desk Lamp: Freely Adjustable Color Temperature

The LED lighting living experience hall on the second floor is the first of its kind in the country, divided into multiple display areas including bedroom, showcase, school, study, and supermarket.

In the supermarket shopping area, whether it is the fresh and crisp fruits and vegetables or the dazzling array of products, under the illumination of LED lighting, their natural colors are displayed even more prominently. "Fruits are more suitable for cool light illumination, which releases their appealing charm; while meat is more suitable for warm light illumination, which better reveals its texture and freshness." A staff member of the exhibition hall introduced that this type of LED light has been gradually applied to large shopping venues. The 6 candle lights on the "living room" chandelier are exquisite and warm.

Ordinary candle lights on the market are generally 20 watts each, but this candle light is only 1 watt per unit. The LED smart desk lamp in the "study" can adjust color temperature and brightness: for warm light, use the warm mode with winter's warm tones; for cool light, use the cool mode with summer's green refreshing tones. At the same time, it can automatically adjust brightness based on the intensity of the surrounding light. Even more wonderfully, its brightness and color can be freely combined. "Not only energy-saving and environmentally friendly, but also eye-protecting." The staff introduced that this is the first automatically dimmable desk lamp in the country, which is not yet mass-produced, but is expected to enter the market for sale by the end of this year.
