Ministry of Science and Technology Wan Gang: China becomes the world's largest LED lighting product production base

At the 2017 National Science and Technology Work Conference held on January 10, Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and Minister of Science and Technology, stated that the "Ten Cities, Ten Thousand Lanterns" project has promoted the application of more than 24 million LED lights, and China has become the world's largest production base for LED lighting products.

In May 2009, the Ministry of Science and Technology launched the pilot work of the "Ten Cities, Ten Thousand Lanterns" semiconductor lighting application project, with the aim of promoting the development of China's semiconductor lighting industry.
