At 9:00 AM on June 26, the three-day "Huangshan Re-Discussion, Gathering at Bright Peak" China LED Lighting Industry Summit Forum grandly opened at the world-renowned Mount Huangshan — a place of outstanding natural charm. Mr. Quan Jian, President of the Guangdong Illuminating Electric Appliances Association, Mr. Liu Kefeng, Vice President of Shenzhen Jiawei Photovoltaic Lighting Co., Ltd., and nearly 50 experts from major well-known enterprises in the industry attended this event.
This conference was organized by the Guangdong Illuminating Electric Appliances Association, with the aim of summarizing the overall development status, key characteristics, and major issues of the Guangdong lighting industry in 2014, and exploring the current channel construction, business models of LED lighting enterprises, as well as the ways to break through and win under intense competition.
In recent years, the LED lighting industry has developed rapidly at a speed beyond people's imagination. Currently, various data show that the LED industry is presenting a development trend characterized by high upstream investment intensity, relatively high concentration in the midstream, and a sharp increase in the number of downstream application enterprises, and has formed a relatively complete LED industry ecological chain system.

Liu Kefeng, Vice President of Jiawei Shares, delivering a keynote speech
At the meeting, Vice President Liu Kefeng was invited to deliver a speech titled "Several Basic Elements of Lighting Channels," exploring the path of LED channel construction together with the participants. The industry generally believes that this year is an important year for LED lighting to gradually move from "chaotic warfare" to an orderly competitive state. Issues such as industrial layout, industry chain development, and homogeneous competition will improve within the next year or two. This, in turn, means that industry competition will become more intense. Liu Kefeng pointed out that the explosion of production capacity has led to a surge in the number of enterprises in the industry, which will undoubtedly intensify the channel competition. Where is the future path of LED lighting enterprises, and how can enterprises survive in the fierce competition and achieve substantial development? These are questions that every enterprise urgently needs to consider. It should be noted that the traditional 4P (Place, Product, Price, Promotion) can no longer meet current market development needs. LED enterprises need to start from the 4C (Customer, Cost, Convenience, Communication) on the basis of 4P, considering the needs of consumers under new consumption concepts.
Liu Kefeng believes that, with the decline in LED prices and costs and the promotion of policies, the penetration rate of LED lighting products is increasing day by day. The strong recovery trend in the industry drives more LED enterprises to increase their investment in channel construction. E-commerce channels are coming on strong, impacting the position of traditional lighting channels. Many enterprises in the industry have begun to invest large amounts of funds in building e-commerce channels in order to seize the channels. The lighting industry is an industry that leans more toward experience and service. When LED enterprises build channels, they should build channels suitable for themselves based on their core values and existing resources. At the same time, enterprises in the industry also need to clarify that whether channel competition can be won depends on factors such as the enterprise's capital, team, front-end marketing, back-end supply, product, service capabilities, and market response speed.
"Currently, industry channels include traditional channels, engineering channels, hardware channels, directional channels, and e-commerce channels. When excellent enterprises build channels, they need to do well in market promotion, product R&D, marketing systems, and back-end supply system construction. These elements are important factors in ensuring that channels are competitive." Regarding how to effectively build channels, Liu Kefeng shared his experience.
