Volvo North American Trucks Adopt LED Headlights and LED Interior Lighting

　　LED lighting applications for vehicles are gradually maturing. With growing energy-saving awareness, the penetration rate of LED automotive lighting is increasing year by year. Volvo announced that its North American VNL and VNX truck models can be optionally equipped with LED headlights and LED interior lighting products. Compared with incandescent lamps used in the past, they consume only 1/8 of the energy and have the advantage of long service life.

　　The optional LED headlight products for the Volvo VNL and VNX models come from Truck-Lite Co. Through beam expansion and a color close to daylight, the goal of significantly improving visibility is achieved. This LED headlight lens also achieves anti-fog and anti-yellowing effects through coating.

　　Volvo also disclosed the standard interior LED lighting adopted in the VNM, VNL, VNX, VHD and VAH series, emphasizing that LED interior lighting lasts longer than traditional bulbs and reduces battery drain on the truck. Currently, red LED products are also being expanded in reading lamp applications within the interior lighting, in order to enhance the nighttime reading lighting function inside the vehicle.
