All road lighting in Huizhou City will use LED light sources next year

Among the 69,000 existing public lighting lamps in Huizhou urban area, 30,000 have already been replaced with LED energy-saving lamps. The plan is to use this year and next year to convert all roads in the city to LED energy-saving light sources.

Luo Qingyun, Director of the Huizhou Public Utilities Bureau, stated that Huizhou has made many explorations in energy conservation and emission reduction of urban lighting systems. First, in terms of management, digital control systems are used to improve the level of lighting management. Currently, 244 urban lighting energy-saving control boxes have been installed in the urban area, bringing all 69,000 lamps of the urban lighting system under management, achieving real-time monitoring and real-time control of the urban lighting system, thereby reducing urban lighting costs and achieving energy conservation and emission reduction goals. "With the independent lamp box control system, for example, on regular evenings, we only turn on the lights along both banks of the Dongjiang River, and other landscape lights remain off. During ordinary holidays, although other landscape lights will be turned on, they will be turned off at 10 p.m."

In addition to implementing monitoring of the lighting system, Huizhou City is also actively promoting the use of new LED energy-saving lamp tubes. Luo Qingyun introduced that currently, among the 69,000 lamps in Huizhou's lighting system, 30,000 are LED energy-saving light sources, mainly distributed on bridges, major buildings, and main roads. The remaining 39,000 lamps will be replaced within this year and next year. By the end of next year, all roads in the city will be replaced with LED energy-saving and environmentally friendly lamps.
