Hangzhou Holds Seminar on Promotion and Application of Semiconductor Lighting Products

On May 3, Hangzhou held a seminar on the promotion and application of semiconductor lighting (LED) products. Shen Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, attended the meeting and gave a speech.

Shen Jian pointed out that great importance should be attached to the development of the LED industry. Developing the LED industry is an important force for Hangzhou in adjusting its industrial structure and transforming its economic development mode. It is also an important measure for energy conservation and consumption reduction, as well as a key measure to enhance the market competitiveness of enterprises. The government, enterprises, users, and banks should communicate and exchange information, listen to opinions, resolve the issues raised, and maintain close contact among the government, enterprises, users, and other parties in order to promote the rapid development of the emerging LED industry.

　　沈坚要求，在推动LED产业发展中要处理好三方面关系：处理好企业主体和政府服务的关系，企业要形成敏锐的市场意识，强劲的创新精神和灵活的市场营销，政府要提供规划和引导以及有力的政策支持；处理好市场竞争和同等优先的关系，做到公开、公平、公正，同时为杭州本地企业优先提供信息服务等资源；处理好规模和科技创新的关系，在进一步做大做强LED产业的同时，更加要强调质量和效益的提升。

　　沈坚强调，LED产业已列入我国重点扶持的七大战略性新兴产业之一，也是杭州市十大重点培育扶持产业，要增强发展信心，加大科技创新，加强企业之间合作形成产业链优势，学习掌握政策。通过政府与企业的共同努力，一起推动杭州LED产业的发展，使杭州LED产业能真正走在全国前列。
