Zumtobel Luminaires Win 2011 iF Product Design Award
The PANOS INFINITY downlight and OPURA floor luminaire have once again, unquestionably, won this year's iF Product Design Award. In fact, the fact that Zumtobel products have been able to win this coveted award again is due not only to the consistently high quality and efficiency of Zumtobel lighting products, but also to their unique design specifications. Reinhardt Wurzer, Marketing Manager at Zumtobel, said: "We are deeply honored to receive this international award. For us, being able to receive honors such as the iF Product Design Award demonstrates that the products designed through our close collaboration with renowned designers possess the creative power needed to lead new trends and set new standards."

This year, the iFProduct Design Award competition once again received widespread attention
The award-winning products will be exhibited at the 2011 iF Product Design Award exhibition in Hannover. All interested visitors are welcome between March 1 and 6, 2011 to experience the award-winning products up close.
PANOS INFINITY
The minimalist design of the PANOS INFINITY LED downlight series and its lighting efficiency of up to 77 lumens per watt fully demonstrate that today's high-quality LED technology has greatly surpassed traditional compact fluorescent lamps in terms of lighting efficiency and lighting quality. Designer Christopher Redfern has proven through his design that LED technology applications are providing and creating an entirely new design language for the world. The harmonious transition between the LED light trough and the reflector renders the light source invisible. A greatly reduced trim ring allows the downlight to blend more harmoniously with the architecture. Panos Infinity tunable white perfectly combines dynamic tunable color temperature with premium high-efficiency lighting and first-class design craftsmanship.

The Panos Infinity series is also available as a completely frameless downlight. Therefore, Panos is unique not only in providing the best lighting comfort; its architectural aesthetic design is itself a highlight.

The performance of this lighting system is achieved through the perfect combination of proprietary technology, the highest quality raw materials, and lighting technology—an achievement unmatched by any product on the existing market. Its excellent lighting quality at a stable color temperature of 3000K-4000K, along with color rendering exceeding Ra90, sets a new standard for high-quality lighting solutions. The downlight series can now also offer a brand-new unique feature: its color temperature can be dynamically adjusted between 2700K-6500K.
OPURA Floor-standing Luminaire
The OPURA floor-standing luminaire perfectly combines the most advanced lighting technology with a high-end appearance. OPURA makes an impressive impression with its flowing design style. The floor-standing luminaire looks as if it were made from a single piece of material, with a completely seamless head and no visible joints. In addition, the soft-touch control panel offers maximum convenience.

The design-oriented floor-standing luminaire combines cutting-edge lighting technology: Opura allows separate control of indirect and direct components.
This floor-standing luminaire is the first of its kind to use separate control of indirect and direct components. The design-oriented luminaire developed jointly with Peter Andres and ON Industriedesign has three different application modes: as a standalone LED, as a hybrid model, and equipped with compact fluorescent lamps. All OPURA luminaire types use high-quality MPO+ micro-optical prisms to prevent glare. It can also integrate a daylight-based control system to ensure maximum energy savings.
