Zhongshan Semiconductor Lighting Industry Technology Alliance Delegation to Attend 2011RLF

The 2011 5th China (Guangzhou) International Street Light, Garden Light and Outdoor Lighting Exhibition (referred to as 2011RLF) will be held from March 30 to April 1, 2011 at the Pazhou Exhibition Hall of the China Import and Export Fair Complex, the largest exhibition venue in Asia. The reporter learned yesterday from Cai Cheng, the project manager of Guangzhou Hongwei Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., the contractor, that 2011RLF is the most professional outdoor lighting exhibition in the Greater China region, and is also one of the key exhibitions visited each year for procurement by domestic and foreign outdoor lighting engineering companies, outdoor lighting contracting and installation companies, urban landscape lighting projects companies, urban management authorities, street light management authorities, outdoor lighting distributors and agents. This exhibition has received strong support from the Zhongshan Semiconductor Lighting Industry Technology Alliance. At the 5th edition, the alliance will once again organize a delegation to participate in the exhibition. Based on last year's exhibition area of 800 square meters, this year's area will increase to 1,200 square meters. According to Mr. Yu Jiwen, Secretary-General of the Zhongshan Semiconductor Lighting Industry Technology Alliance, member units joining the delegation together with the Zhongshan Semiconductor Technology Alliance can enjoy exhibition subsidies uniformly applied for by the alliance from the government, with relatively favorable booth fees. The alliance leadership and council member units are now very actively registering for the exhibition. Zhongshan Hongbao, Zhongshan Xuyang, Zhongshan Mingliang, Zhongshan Lichuang, Zhongshan Yike, Zhongshan Lanhe, Zhongshan Yuzhiyuan, Zhongshan Yaji, etc. have all confirmed their booths. Nearly 38 more members are in contact with the alliance secretariat, striving to secure better booth locations.

The Zhongshan Semiconductor Lighting Industry Technology Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance) is a non-profit industry organization led by the Zhongshan Science and Technology Bureau and operated by the secretariat of the Xiaolan Town Chamber of Commerce. Established in 2009 under the guidance and care of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department, the Zhongshan Municipal People's Government, the Zhongshan Science and Technology Bureau, and the Xiaolan Town Government, the Alliance follows the founding principle of being enterprise-oriented and supported by public platforms. The Alliance's main units include public platforms, enterprises, and universities in Zhongshan that hold leading technical positions and are flagship players in the semiconductor lighting industry. It has ultimately developed into a large alliance composed of upstream, midstream, and downstream manufacturers in the domestic semiconductor lighting industry chain, relevant government authorities, professional academic institutions, distributors, energy-saving service centers, monitoring centers, industry research institutions, industry associations, related media service units, industry users, and other industry-related units and individuals. The main responsibilities of the Alliance are to promote the development of the semiconductor industry in Zhongshan, build a sound semiconductor industry chain in Zhongshan, solve common technical problems in Zhongshan's semiconductor industry, and provide consulting on development strategies for Zhongshan's semiconductor industry by uniting industry experts and university scholars. Alliance members are leaders in Zhongshan's LED industry, including a group of outstanding LED enterprises such as Guangdong Langneng, Hongbao Electric, and Shanmu Display, which possess leading technologies in LED outdoor lighting, commercial lighting, display technology, and other fields.

Ms. Du Jifang, President of the Alliance, introduced that the members of the LED Industry Alliance have grown from 50 in 2009 to 200 today. She believes that within the next three years, the Zhongshan Semiconductor Lighting Industry Technology Alliance will become the largest semiconductor lighting association in China.
