Following the successful convening of the Second Working Meeting of the Cross-Strait Semiconductor Lighting Cooperation Project in Taipei on April 28, the Cross-Strait Semiconductor Lighting Industry Bridge-Building Conference will be held as scheduled in Beijing on the afternoon of June 25. At this meeting, three letters of cooperation intent will be signed, marking substantive progress in testing methods, information sharing, and R&D cooperation between the two sides of the Strait.

In accordance with the spirit of the second working meeting and the results of multiple subsequent communications and consultations between the working groups of both sides of the Strait, a signing ceremony for letters of cooperation intent on Cross-Strait semiconductor lighting will be held at this meeting. At the meeting, the China Solid State Lighting Alliance (CSA) and the Taiwan Optoelectronic Semiconductor Industry Association (TOSIA) will sign a letter of intent for cooperation on a Cross-Strait semiconductor lighting industry information exchange platform; the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Electronics and Optoelectronics Research Laboratory, Industrial Technology Research Institute, will sign a letter of intent for cooperation on Cross-Strait LED lighting reliability research under special climatic conditions; the Cross-Strait Semiconductor Lighting Cooperation Project Working Group will sign a letter of intent for cooperation on launching semiconductor lighting pilot demonstration projects with the Taiwan LED Lighting Coordination Working Group. The signing of these letters of cooperation intent will lay a solid foundation for further cooperation in the semiconductor lighting industry between the two sides of the Strait.

On the morning of June 26, the working groups of both sides of the Strait will also hold a seminar on the semiconductor lighting industry in Beijing, conducting in-depth discussions and research on the specific implementation plans for the Cross-Strait semiconductor lighting pilot demonstration projects. Subsequently, through the implementation of the Cross-Strait semiconductor lighting application pilot demonstration projects, the complementary advantages of the industries on both sides of the Strait will be realized, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results, jointly building world-class semiconductor lighting enterprises and brands, and enhancing the international competitiveness of the Chinese semiconductor lighting industry.

Representatives from both sides of the strait will present their ideas on the pilot demonstration projects for street lighting and subway lighting at the meeting. Attending representatives will also discuss the specific implementation plans for the two pilot demonstration projects in Guangzhou and Xiamen, and determine specific operational methods. It is expected that through cooperative projects, data from the testing process will be shared, potential technical and quality issues will be analyzed, and product quality will be improved.

Members of the Cross-Strait Semiconductor Lighting Industry Cooperation Coordination Group, members of the working group, some enterprise representatives, as well as more than 40 representatives including Deputy Director Wang Yunming of Taiwan's Bureau of Energy and Vice President Qu Xinsheng of Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute, will attend the signing ceremony and seminar.
