CQC Revises Implementation Rules for Mandatory Product Certification of Lighting Electrical Products
To all relevant units:
In September 2014, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant announcements of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA), our center issued and implemented the "Implementation Rules for Mandatory Product Certification - Lighting Electrical Products" (CQC-C1001-2014, hereinafter referred to as the "Rules"). In response to changes in relevant policies since implementation, to keep up with industry development, and to ensure implementation effectiveness, our center, combined with the state's requirement of liberalizing mandatory certification fees, the unified requirements of our center for the classified implementation of production enterprises, as well as feedback from relevant testing institutions and enterprises, has revised the "Rules".
The main changes of this revision are as follows:
1) Modified the quality information categories involved in the classification of manufacturing enterprises, the classification principle requirements for manufacturing enterprises, and the application of manufacturing enterprise classification in the selection of certification modes;
2) Modified the content and requirements of the type test scheme;
3) Modified the expression of "frequency, person-days and content of post-certification supervision and inspection", and modified the requirements for the supervision methods;
4) Added two types of key components for luminaires and two types of key components for LED control gear;
5) Corrected the routine inspection and confirmation inspection methods for the "ground continuity" of luminaire and control gear products;
After the publication of these Implementation Rules, relevant units shall comply with these requirements when conducting the compulsory product certification of lighting electrical products. This revision does not require the issuance of new CCC certificates.
This is hereby notified.
