The 14th China Guzhen International Lighting Fair Concludes Successfully

　　On October 26, the 14th China-Guzhen International Lighting Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Lighting Fair") concluded successfully at the Convention and Exhibition Center of Lighting Capital Guzhen. The 5-day exhibition was organized by the China Association of Lighting Industry, hosted by Zhongshan Guzhen Lighting Capital Expo Co., Ltd., and received strong support from the Zhongshan Economic and Information Bureau and the People's Government of Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City. By partnering with the professional exhibition operating organization Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets International Exhibition Co., Ltd. and other professional institutions, this professional, market-oriented, and international autumn lighting event was created. This year's autumn Lighting Fair is the first to charge on-site registered visitors, aiming to further improve the quality of buyers; it also introduced exclusive rest areas for overseas buyers, on-site translation, and free shuttle services between Guangzhou-Shenzhen Airport [0.42% 资金 研报], Zhongshan Port Terminal and the Guzhen Lighting Fair venue, among a series of services to better serve foreign merchants. During the exhibition, multiple high-quality events were held, leading new trends in the lighting industry. The Guzhen Lighting Fair has become a window for Guzhen to explore domestic and foreign markets and showcase new products and technologies, becoming an indispensable part of Guzhen's lighting industry chain.

　　Starting in 2014, we officially pioneered the Lighting Fair's exhibition model of "two exhibitions per year, spring and autumn seasons, exhibition-store linkage," and successfully held the first spring Lighting Fair, achieving good results. For this autumn Lighting Fair, we further expanded the scale of "exhibition-store linkage," using the Lighting Capital Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center as the main venue, and adding the Star Alliance Lighting-LED Lighting Expo Center as a sub-venue. The number of sub-venues increased from the previous 3 (Baisheng Lighting Plaza, Lighting Capital Times Plaza, Taigu Lighting Plaza, etc.) to 4, and the exhibition scale doubled from the original 250,000 square meters to 600,000 square meters, with over 1,500 participating companies. Among them, the main venue has an exhibition area of more than 30,000 square meters, with a total of 1,419 standard booths, accommodating 550 exhibitors, attracting well-known domestic companies such as OPPLE Lighting, Cree Optoelectronics, Nationstar Optoelectronics [0.84% 资金 研报], Shengqiu Lighting, Kengton Lighting, Shanmu Display, Daming Lafei Electric, and others. The exhibits cover decorative lighting, indoor lighting, LED lighting, outdoor lighting, electrical products, and from floor lamps to crystal lamps, sheepskin lamps, craft lamps, ceiling lamps, energy-saving lamps, landscape lamps, etc., with a more complete range of products, more innovative products, covering the entire upstream and downstream industry chain of lighting and LED lighting products.

　　On the morning of October 22, 2014, the 14th China-Guzhen International Lighting Fair held a grand opening ceremony at the Lighting Capital Guzhen Convention Center. A series of activities were held at the opening ceremony, including the unveiling ceremony for the establishment of the Lighting Culture Committee of the China Cultural Promotion Association, the plaque-awarding ceremony for Guzhen Town being awarded the "National Industrial Cluster Regional Brand Building Lighting Industry Pilot Area" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the plaque-awarding ceremony for the Productivity Promotion Center of Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City, being awarded the "Guangdong (Lighting) Intellectual Property Operation Center" by the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Bureau, the plaque-awarding ceremony for the China Lighting Capital (Guzhen) National Direct Sales Base, the signing ceremony for cooperation between the People's Government of Guzhen Town and Fosun Group, the signing ceremony between the People's Government of Guzhen Town and Zhongcheng Certification Co., Ltd. of Guangdong Provincial Product Quality Inspection Institute, the signing ceremony between the People's Government of Guzhen Town and Shen Nuowei for building the Zhongshan Guzhen Lighting International Innovation Design Center, the signing ceremony for the Guzhen Lighting 3D Printing Rapid Prototyping Center, etc. At the same time, the opening ceremony for the sub-venue Star Alliance Lighting-LED Lighting Expo Center was also held on the same day, making the scene lively.

　　In addition, during the exhibition period, a number of authoritative industry conferences, forums and activities were held, leading the new trend of the global lighting industry. These include the Chinese Lighting Creative Culture Forum, the 2014 Global Lighting Design Masters Forum – Guzhen Station, the On-site Review Session of Finalist Entries of the 2014 China International Lighting Design Competition, the 2014 Lighting Industry Market and Marketing Innovation Exchange Conference, the Award Ceremony of the "Exhibitor Boutique" Selection of the 14th China-Guzhen International Lighting Fair & the Press Conference on Award-Winning Works of the 2014 China International Lighting Design Competition, the 7th China Lighting Capital Industry Summit Forum, the Lighting Technology Achievements Exhibition and Trade Fair, and a series of other events, building a multi-level and multi-field information exchange platform for the broad base of professional visitors and exhibitors.

　　The promotion of this Lighting Fair was unprecedentedly extensive, covering more than 60 countries and regions worldwide. The 14th Guzhen Lighting Fair attracted nearly 200,000 domestic and overseas visitors, of which 56,828 entered the main venue and 138,566 entered the branch venues. A total of 25,607 buyers from 95 countries and regions (including 2,849 overseas buyers) registered and attended at the main venue. On the opening day of the Starlight Alliance, one of the branch venues on the 22nd, crowds swarmed in and business travellers gathered, creating a strong trade atmosphere, achieving excellent results and receiving wave upon wave of positive feedback.

　　At this Lighting Fair, the organizer introduced a number of new measures, including free visitor pre-registration, an exhibitor inquiry system, and free shuttle bus service, to provide buyers with comprehensive exhibition-viewing services tailored to their needs. Overseas buyers can exclusively enjoy one-stop services provided by the travel agency and the organizer, offering convenient services such as transportation, hotel accommodation, dining, visas, translation and rest areas, greatly facilitating overseas buyers' participation in the exhibition. The organizer has also added free Internet areas and buyer rest areas, and has provided 14 free shuttle buses running between the main venue and four branch venues, offering convenient transportation for buyers to travel between their hotels, exhibition halls and branch venues. At the same time, after a complete revamp of the official website of the Guzhen Lighting Fair, the newly optimized hotel reservation service system and traffic information provide buyers with detailed hotel accommodation information in Zhongshan and Guzhen, greatly facilitating their travel arrangements and earning wide recognition from the vast number of business visitors.

　　The 14th China-Guzhen International Lighting Fair has come to a perfect close and received unanimous praise from exhibitors and domestic and overseas buyers. The 15th China-Guzhen International Lighting Fair will be grandly held from March 18 to 21, 2015 at the Lighting Capital Guzhen Conference and Exhibition Center. Next spring's Lighting Fair will continue to rely on the Guzhen industry, integrate resources from all parties, and create a one-stop lighting trading platform focused on domestic sales, combined with both domestic and international sales, through the linkage of exhibitions and stores.
