According to the overall urban layout structure and central urban area landscape planning proposed in the "Changchun City Master Plan 2011-2020," Changchun's nightscape will create a comprehensive open landscape lighting structure system of "five horizontal, three vertical, one ring, one belt, and multiple zones."
The five horizontal axes are: Xi'an Avenue-Changchun Street sub-urban business axis, Jiefang Avenue main landscape axis, Gongnong Avenue-Ziyou Avenue sub-urban business axis, Nanhu Avenue ecological landscape axis, Weixing Road sub-landscape axis; the three vertical axes are: Renmin Street core landscape axis, Xinmin Street characteristic landscape axis, Yatai Street sub-landscape axis; the one ring is: the Second Ring Road landscape; the one belt is: the Yitong River two-bank landscape belt; the multiple zones are: Puppet Manchukuo Imperial Palace historical and cultural block, Nanhu Park leisure area, stadium competition area.
