Recently, market supervision authorities in Changzhou, Jiangsu; Foshan, Guangdong; and Zhongshan, Guangdong, have successively issued LED lighting product recall notices and consumer warnings.
Changzhou Yuanmei Lighting Co., Ltd.
Recently, in accordance with the “Interim Provisions on Consumer Product Recall Management” and the “Guangdong Province Measures for the Administration of Defective Consumer Product Recalls,” Changzhou Yuanmei Lighting Co., Ltd. proactively reported its recall plan to the Changzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration. Effective immediately, the company will recall certain 3.5-inch BaiFumei 9W white-light LED downlights manufactured between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, totaling 177 units.
The LED downlights covered by this recall present the following issues: 1) The external wiring has an insufficient cross-sectional area; under external mechanical stress, the wires may break, potentially causing electric shock. Over prolonged use, overheating and aging of the wiring could lead to leakage, electric shock, or even fire. 2) The basic insulation light source board (aluminum substrate) is in direct contact with the metal housing of Class II luminaires; if this basic insulation fails, it may result in leakage, short circuits, or electric shock. 3) High harmonic currents may cause flickering, harming users’ vision, while overheating of the device could trigger fire hazards.
Changzhou Yuanmei Lighting Co., Ltd. will provide free returns and refunds to customers to eliminate these safety risks.
Foshan Fuzhizhao Lighting Electrical Technology Co., Ltd.
Recently, in compliance with the “Interim Provisions on Consumer Product Recall Management,” Foshan Fuzhizhao Lighting Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. voluntarily reported its recall plan to the Foshan Municipal Market Supervision Administration. Effective immediately, the company will recall certain Fuzhizhao-brand FZ3030 model LED panel lights manufactured between June 1, 2025, and September 30, 2025, totaling 585 units.
The LED panel lights subject to this recall fail to meet the requirements of GB 7000.1-2015 and GB 7000.201-2008 regarding grounding, external wiring, and internal wiring, posing a risk of electric shock and other safety concerns.
Foshan Fuzhizhao Lighting Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. will offer free return processing to consumers to address these safety issues.
Foshan Yinlida Lighting Electrical Co., Ltd.
Recently, in accordance with the “Interim Provisions on Consumer Product Recall Management,” Foshan Yinlida Lighting Electrical Co., Ltd. proactively reported its recall plan to the Foshan Municipal Market Supervision Administration. Effective immediately, the company will recall certain Yinlida-brand XHPZT-48W model direct-emission panel lights manufactured between January 1, 2025, and March 31, 2025, totaling 856 units.
The direct-emission panel lights covered by this recall suffer from inadequate cross-sections in both external and internal wiring, leading to overheating of the power cords and increasing the risk of fire and electric shock—posing significant safety hazards.
Foshan Yinlida Lighting Electrical Co., Ltd. will provide free return processing to consumers to mitigate these risks.
Guangdong Shunde Kangge Lighting Electrical Co., Ltd.
Recently, Guangdong Shunde Kangge Lighting Electrical Co., Ltd. also reported its recall plan to the Foshan Municipal Market Supervision Administration in compliance with the “Interim Provisions on Consumer Product Recall Management.” Effective immediately, the company will recall certain Kangge-brand KG-48 model fixed LED luminaires manufactured on April 1, 2024, totaling 600 units.
The fixed LED luminaires subject to this recall have insufficient cross-sections in their external and internal wiring, which may cause overheating of the power cords and increase the risk of fire and electric shock—posing serious safety concerns.
Guangdong Shunde Kangge Lighting Electrical Co., Ltd. will either replace the affected products with new ones that meet safety standards or process returns, thereby eliminating these safety risks.

Zhongshan Yilin Lighting Co., Ltd.
In addition, the Zhongshan Municipal Market Supervision Administration has issued a consumer warning stating that, based on recent defect-related intelligence received from the National Consumer Product Recall Technical Center under the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Zhongshan administration identified suspected defects in LED tri-proof ceiling lights allegedly produced by Zhongshan Yilin Lighting Co., Ltd. An immediate defect investigation was launched, revealing that the purported manufacturer had been deregistered on December 4, 2025, making a formal recall impossible.
To protect consumers from potential harm caused by such products, the administration is issuing a consumer warning pursuant to Article 9, Paragraph 1 of the “Guangdong Province Measures for the Administration of Consumer Product Recalls.” Consumers who possess Meilaiya-brand LED tri-proof ceiling lights suspected of having these defects are advised to cease use immediately and dispose of them properly in an environmentally friendly manner.
It is understood that this ceiling light is a Meilaiya brand product manufactured by Zhongshan Yilin Lighting Co., Ltd. The associated risk involves insufficient cross-section of the power cord, which may lead to overheating and increase the likelihood of fire or electric shock.
