Association leaders visited industrial clusters to conduct research on industry development.
To gain insights into the development trends of lighting industry clusters and lay a solid foundation for high-quality industry growth during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, in mid-October, key leaders of the China Lighting Fixture Association—including Vice Chairpersons Liu Shengping and Wang Xuhua, Secretary-General Wang Zhuo, and Deputy Secretary-General Deng Maolin—conducted field visits and research in Guangdong, Jiangsu, and other regions where the lighting industry is concentrated. They engaged in discussions with company executives and local industry authorities on topics such as technological innovation, product portfolio strategies, market trends, and standards and quality, aiming to identify current challenges and explore actionable recommendations.

Understanding Advanced Technological Developments
At Shenzhen Yitan Technology Co., Ltd., the association delegation toured the company’s production facilities and its self-developed testing equipment, gaining an in-depth understanding of the development and applications of microwave radar sensors in the lighting sector. Vice Chairperson Liu Shengping commended Yitan Technology’s radar classification system and suggested that the company leverage standardization efforts to gradually elevate its internal classification guidelines into group standards, ultimately contributing to the establishment of unified industry standards. She encouraged the company to maintain compliant operations and collaborate with industry partners to expand the residential radar application market.
Vice Chairperson Liu Shengping also visited Guangdong Glansbe Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., where she discussed the technical features, developmental positioning, and future prospects of wireless networking technologies for smart lighting.
Deputy Secretary-General Deng Maolin held in-depth discussions in Gaoyou, Jiangsu, focusing on the application of new technologies in streetlight poles and the formulation and revision of industry standards, engaging with local industry associations and relevant enterprises to jointly explore pathways for technological upgrading and standardization within the sector.
Surveying Domestic and International Market Trends

In Henglan Town, the association delegation visited Zhongshan Dixin Decorative Lighting Co., Ltd. and Zhongshan Bainan Decorative Lighting Co., Ltd., examining the production and export activities of home lighting products. At Dixin Decorative Lighting, the delegation learned about the company’s strategy of focusing primarily on home lighting products, its deep engagement in the European market, and its future plans. At Bainan Decorative Lighting, they toured the company’s showroom and smart experience area, gaining insight into its efforts to develop markets in Russia and Central Asia. Vice Chairperson Liu Shengping praised the company’s approach of achieving sustained export growth through trade fair channels and encouraged it to continue enhancing its factory infrastructure, making full use of high-profile platforms such as the Guzhen Lighting Expo, and actively expanding into diversified international markets.

The association delegation also visited physical retail markets to assess the current state of domestic and international trade in Guzhen’s lighting and decorative lighting industries. At the Siji Li Shopping Center, the delegation gained detailed insights into the mall’s business model catering to international buyers, its product category structure, and the day-to-day operations of its brick-and-mortar stores. At the Star Alliance, the delegation focused on innovative measures and operational results related to guiding businesses toward compliance and promoting brand awareness.
Deputy Secretary-General Deng Maolin attended an IP licensing exchange event hosted by the China National Light Industry Federation in Shanghai, where he engaged with participants on topics such as leveraging intellectual property to empower traditional industries and innovating licensing models, exploring opportunities for cross-sectoral integration between the lighting industry and IP licensing to create new avenues for domestic and international market expansion.
Surveying Quality Development and Improvement Efforts

The association delegation traveled to the Guzhen Town Lighting and Decorative Lighting Product Quality Service Center to learn about its ongoing construction and operations. In response to challenges faced during the industry’s pursuit of high-quality development, the association convened a symposium with local government authorities, manufacturers, and industry associations to discuss foundational quality improvement initiatives and gather relevant feedback and suggestions.

Regarding current efforts to enhance quality in Guzhen, Vice Chairperson Wang Xuhua put forward three recommendations: First, clarify safety responsibilities; 3C certification should return to its original focus on safety, with both regulatory bodies and companies sharing responsibility for ensuring lamp product safety; Second, strengthen online sales governance; for low-priced, substandard products sold online, support certification agencies in assessing average market prices and conducting targeted inspections of items below those averages, while urging e-commerce platforms to fulfill their primary responsibility for quality and safety, thereby purifying the online marketplace; Third, accelerate the industry’s transition toward high-quality development; high-quality development is a directive from the CPC Central Committee, requiring all stakeholders to join forces, thoroughly assess existing conditions, pinpoint key pain points, and work together with the Guzhen government and the China Lighting Fixture Association to foster upgrades and improvements across the Guzhen and Zhongshan lighting industries. The China Lighting Fixture Association will also rely on its Standardization Technical Committee to draft industry and national standards, formalizing product technical requirements, while intensifying publicity and promotion efforts to disseminate advanced technologies and management practices, cultivating sound consumer attitudes.
Relevant officials from the local governments of Guzhen Town and Henglan Town participated in these field visits.
