Recently, the 7th DALI Alliance China Ecosystem Partner Conference and the DALI China Awards Ceremony were held in Beijing. At this annual showcase of technological prowess and innovative applications, Inventronics successfully won the 2026 DALI China Award Silver Prize in the “Industrial Space” category for its Ningdong Aluminum Electrolysis Workshop Smart Lighting Project.




840 luminaires, 93 sensors, 24 bus modules… From the production floor in Ningdong, Ningxia, to the award stage in Beijing, Inventronics Electronics and Hanmingde Technology joined forces. Leveraging the Ningdong Aluminum Electrolysis Workshop smart lighting project, they achieved outstanding real-world results—stable operation in extreme environments with measured energy savings exceeding 45%—and wrote a story of industrial intelligent upgrading: driven by intelligence, coexisting with green sustainability.


Meeting Industrial‑Grade Standards, Speaking Through Reliability



The Ningdong Aluminum Electrolysis Workshop of State Power Investment Corporation is a typical nonferrous metals production environment: high temperatures, strong magnetic fields, and corrosive dust pervade the entire facility; magnetic field strength consistently remains above 400 GS, peaking at 800 GS, whereas ordinary luminaires typically operate in magnetic fields measured in single digits.


LED driver power supplies rely on transmitting specific digital signals over control lines to send dimming and switching commands. However, strong magnetic fields act like “noise,” interfering with, disrupting, or even blocking these faint signals, preventing proper command delivery. In this “signal interference zone,” Inventronics’ EUM‑Ex excelled: its aluminum alloy‑encased drivers boast exceptional anti‑interference capabilities, establishing a dedicated signal protection zone within the harsh magnetic environment and achieving zero communication loss and zero control errors.


But that’s far from enough. To further ensure long-term reliability under extreme conditions, the drivers must withstand high temperatures and corrosion. From core component design to overall assembly processes, Inventronics products rigorously adhere to industrial‑grade protection standards, specifically tailored to meet the workshop’s extreme heat and fluoride‑corrosive operating conditions. Field test data provides compelling evidence: in environments of extreme heat and corrosive dust, Inventronics’ EUM‑Ex series drivers maintain stable core parameters over time, achieve up to 94% efficiency, and keep standby power consumption below 0.5 W—aligning closely with expected targets.


This means that, even in such challenging conditions, the EUM‑Ex exemplifies “industrial‑grade reliability.”





Testing in extreme environments confirmed point‑by‑point reliability, but sample sizes are limited. The real challenge lies in large‑scale deployment across the entire plant. The project requires controlling 840 industrial luminaires, coordinating 93 DALI sensors, and integrating 24 bus modules, with lighting control spanning up to one kilometer. Previously, the industry had no precedent for such a large‑scale, long‑distance, all‑DALI‑based installation.


Confronted with the daunting task of deploying and coordinating across an entire factory, Inventronics once again lived up to expectations: system control commands responded with zero latency, and various lighting scenes switched with pinpoint accuracy, effectively resolving the challenges of deploying and managing such a vast facility. A flexible topology and signal relays turned “one kilometer” into not a distance, but a stage for intelligent control.





Once the system was running stably, the final evaluation hinged on energy‑saving and operational data. To precisely quantify the benefits, the project team continuously tracked and compared energy consumption before and after commissioning.


These metrics encompassed not only basic electricity usage but also reductions in maintenance costs resulting from features like luminaire light‑degradation compensation and end‑of‑life alerts. Ultimately, Inventronics’ EUM‑Ex, backed by measured energy savings exceeding 45%, luminaire lifespans extended to 1.35 times their original duration, and real‑time monitoring of each luminaire, among other robust performance indicators, officially passed the project’s comprehensive acceptance and earned high praise from both customers and industry judges.





From rigorous testing in Ningdong’s extreme working conditions to professional review by industry authorities, Inventronics has smoothly navigated every step—from technology implementation to industry certification. Currently, this project stands as the only fully DALI‑based smart lighting system in China’s aluminum alloy industry, and the largest single installation of its kind.
