The China Patent Award is jointly organized by the National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization, held annually to encourage and recognize patent holders and inventors (designers) who have made outstanding contributions to technological (design) innovation and socio‑economic development. It serves as an important reference for performance appraisal, promotion, and appointment. The nomination process for the 26th China Patent Award commenced in November 2025, adopting a project‑recommendation approach. Nominations were submitted by relevant departments and institutions under the State Council responsible for intellectual property management, national industry associations, and provincial (regional/municipal) intellectual property offices.
The China Lighting Appliance Association, as a national industry association, actively recommends outstanding lighting‑related patent projects to the National Intellectual Property Administration. Since 2014, numerous companies—including Xuyu, Opple, Liteon, Sunshine, Romany, and Sanxiong—have been nominated by the Association, participated in the award application process, and received recognition.
