马拉维政府免费向国民提供130万支节能灯
马拉维《尼亚萨时报》1月30日消息，马拉维能源、自然资源与环境部29日在媒体发布会上称，马政府于31日正式启动“照明节能项目”，将获国际发展部门援助的200万支节能灯泡发与国民使用。其中130万支灯泡将免费提供给城镇居民、小型工厂和公用建筑，另70万支灯泡将以政府补贴性价格在指定零售店出售。
马拉维电力公司(EScom)负责人表示，政府此举有望为国家每月节约用电30兆瓦，同时可有效降低对大气层的二氧化碳排放量。
