OPPLE was selected for the 2026 List of Top 500 Private Enterprises in Patent Applications.

Recently, Opple Lighting was included in the “Top 500 Private Enterprises by Invention Patents” list released by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. This recognition reflects Opple Lighting’s long-standing commitment to R&D investment and its ongoing drive for technological innovation. To date, Opple Lighting holds approximately 4,000 valid patents.

For three decades, R&D and innovation have been a key pillar of Opple Lighting’s growth. As early as 2008, the company established R&D and manufacturing facilities in Suzhou and has continuously refined its R&D and testing systems; in 2015, its laboratories received CNAS accreditation. Today, Opple Lighting boasts an R&D team of around 400 professionals, conducting ongoing research on smart, healthy lighting environments and translating these advancements into product innovations and real-world lighting applications.

In addition to independent R&D, Opple Lighting actively pursues industry–university–research collaboration, partnering with Wuhan University and Fudan University to co‑establish joint university‑enterprise labs that focus on healthy lighting, smart light environments, and light quality assessment. In recent years, the company has advanced technologies such as the SDL Super Light Engine and explored health‑focused spectrum solutions—like “Clear Light” and “Lotus Sleep‑Assisting Light”—tailored to various living and usage scenarios, bringing healthy lighting from the lab into homes and public spaces.
