The drafting team emphasized that this standard focuses specifically on public‑fitness settings, distinguishing itself from professional competition‑venue lighting standards. It addresses pressing industry challenges—such as the lack of dedicated regulations, inconsistent parameters, excessive glare, uneven illuminance, and inadequate operational practices—while covering the entire lifecycle of venue lighting, from design and equipment selection through installation, commissioning, testing, and routine maintenance, thus aligning closely with the practical needs of domestic public‑fitness venue construction and operation. At the same time, the drafting team presented the complete set of review materials, including the draft standard, explanatory notes, and a summary table of public comments received.

The panel affirmed that this standard is well‑justified, prepared in full compliance with procedural requirements, based on a scientifically sound technical approach, and supported by a comprehensive content framework that aligns with the current state of development in the public‑fitness sector. By filling the gap in specialized group standards for public‑fitness badminton venues, it will effectively regulate the engineering and operational management of such facilities, enhance the visual environment for athletes, protect their eyesight, and significantly contribute to elevating the level of standardization within the sports lighting industry while promoting high‑quality development of supporting infrastructure for public fitness.

In light of the experts’ comments and the outcomes of this review, the meeting adopted the following resolution: The standards drafting group is requested to carefully collate and incorporate the recommendations put forward by the reviewers, making necessary revisions to both the text of the standard and its explanatory notes. A finalized draft for approval should then be prepared, along with the complete package of submission documents, and forwarded to the Secretariat of the Beijing Lighting Electrical Appliances Association to initiate the formal procedures for group‑standard approval, publication, and registration on the national group‑standards information platform. Upon official release, the association will undertake promotional and educational efforts to guide venue developers, design firms, and lighting companies in implementing this standard, continuously monitor its practical application, and conduct timely evaluations of its effectiveness.
