Burdened by debt and struggling to operate, where lies the way forward for this LED Listed company?
Breaking news! Another long-established LED Listed company is on the brink, publicly soliciting and selecting investors. With overdue debts, consecutive years of losses, and the risk of delisting, can it still hope to find a white knight?
On September 24, Shenzhen Changfang Group issued an announcement formally opening recruitment and selection for investors.

This veteran LED enterprise, founded in 2005 and listed in 2012, now stands at a critical juncture of restructuring to avoid delisting.
The announcement states that this recruitment aims to bring in industry‑aligned, financially strong investors to inject fresh capital and resources, optimize the company’s asset, debt, and equity structures, ultimately building a company with high‑quality assets, sustainable operations, and robust profitability.

Changfang Group’s predicament did not develop overnight. In March this year, creditors filed for bankruptcy reorganization, citing the company’s inability to repay maturing debts and its clear lack of solvency. By September, Changfang Group announced again that its total overdue liabilities had reached 380 million yuan—more than 400% of its audited net assets for 2025. Simply put, the company’s current liabilities are now more than four times its net worth, leaving it severely insolvent.
From an operational standpoint, Changfang Group has been mired in losses in recent years due to intense industry competition and a deteriorating financing environment, resulting in tight cash flow and insufficient liquidity. Although the company has actively expanded into the new energy sector, it has yet to reverse its downward trend in the short term.
Old Hong believes that by taking the step of publicly seeking investors, Changfang Group has recognized that relying solely on internal operational adjustments will hardly pull it out of its debt quagmire. Bringing in external strategic investors to restructure its debts and reshape its assets may be its only viable path to self‑rescue. However, the question remains: how attractive is a company whose liabilities far exceed its net worth to potential investors? That remains uncertain.
Old Hong also notes that Changfang Group has long specialized in LED Packaging and accumulated considerable expertise in lighting applications. For industrial capital interested in making strategic investments, this could present an opportunity to integrate existing assets at low cost—but whether such an investment proves worthwhile hinges critically on the clarity of the debt‑resolution plan and the extent to which historical burdens can be fully shed.
Changfang Group’s plight is emblematic of the rapid reshuffling currently underway in the LED lighting Industry. Small and medium‑sized enterprises lacking core competitiveness face mounting survival pressures. Whether it can eventually welcome its own white knight remains to be seen.
