LED bulb lamps can capture the market only with fast-food pricing

Recently, China's LED packaging manufacturer Mulinsen Co., Ltd. announced that the factory price of its LED 18W 1.2-meter T8 tube light can be as low as US$10, approximately 50% lower than that of other manufacturers in the current market, while still delivering a luminous flux of over 1400 lumens with excellent lighting performance. It provides a high-quality yet affordable energy-saving and emission-reduction solution for office lighting, vehicle interior lighting, supermarkets, parking lots, schools, and other application fields.

According to Mulinsen, the company has broken through the deadlock of high light-source conversion costs by launching consumer-grade tube lights with strong market penetration. Previously, because LEDs were limited by excessively high costs, the price gap between LED products and conventional ones was too large for immediate replacement. Now, with the gradual advancement and maturation of market technology, Mulinsen is committed to launching products at more approachable prices for the general public.

  Commentary:

The good news brought by MLS will serve as a shot in the arm for the currently sluggish LED market. Beyond the environmental appeal of energy conservation and emission reduction, LED lighting will accelerate its entry into countless households thanks to lower costs.

In the current LED industry, there is a so-called "hamburger theory": if the price of an LED bulb is comparable to that of a local hamburger, market demand would be immediately stimulated. However, current LED lamps are equivalent to the price of 5 to 6 hamburgers. This indicates that, as companies build their entire industry chain through integration and innovation, there is still considerable room to reduce product prices.

For example, when a company's production equipment becomes automated, the labor cost per unit of time naturally decreases, and so do production costs. In addition, companies can also strive to seek the application of new materials. If innovative new materials are used in production, the cost of LED lamps will be even lower. #p#Page Title#e#
