2011 THORN Lighting PEC Tour Shanghai Station

　　On November 16, 2011, THORN Lighting held the "THORN Lighting PEC Tour and Office & Hotel Lighting Application Exchange Event" in Shanghai. Well-known industry experts, outstanding architects, interior designers and lighting designers gathered together to share THORN Lighting's PEC philosophy and design experience in office and hotel lighting applications.

　　As one of the THORN Lighting PEC Tour series of events, this event centered on the theme of creating excellent office and hotel lighting. The venue utilized THORN Lighting solutions to recreate office and hotel lighting application scenarios. Mr. John Der Weduwe, Sales Director of Thorn Lighting Asia, and Mr. Liu Suining, General Manager of Thorn Lighting (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., participated in this event. Dr. Lin Yandan, Associate Professor at Fudan University, Member of the International Exchange Committee of the China Illuminating Engineering Society, and UN Green Lighting Product Procurement Consultant, delivered an excellent academic lecture on lighting quality – "you can have your cake and eat it too". Mr. Zhu Ping, a renowned Shanghai hotel designer, shared excellent case studies from the Super Platinum Five-Star Hotel – Qingdao Haier InterContinental Hotel which he designed. The THORN Lighting Technical Manager analyzed and demonstrated the light dimming and control functions of the Thorn Sensa control system, giving designers a more intuitive experience of lighting application. In the subsequent exchange session, designers exchanged and shared their experiences and insights on lighting design and art, enjoying a wonderful and delightful time together.
