University of Toronto develops cheaper flexible OLED displays

　　Canadian scientists have recently also created flexible OLED screens. Researchers at the University of Toronto have successfully solved the shortcomings of flexible OLEDs based on plastic substrates.

　　The new plastic OLEDs not only have the same effect as previous hard screens, but they are also equally cheap and durable. Entering the mass production stage, these plastic OLEDs may show their advantages, as their production method is as simple as roll printing.

　　However, it will still take 5-10 years for this technology to be introduced into TV displays, but it is very likely to be used first on mobile devices. The primary problem faced by this research group is how to apply the research results of one-inch screens in the laboratory to the production of real large screens.
