Koncept's EQUO Desk Lamp Wins 2012 iF Design Award

Koncept Technologies is dedicated to innovation in residential and commercial LED lighting solutions. Their EQUO LED desk lamp stood out among 2,923 entries to win the 2012 iF Design Award in the lighting category.

Since 1953, the German iF Design Award has become a global design benchmark and symbol, known alongside the Red Dot Award and IDEA Award as the world's three major design awards, often referred to as the "Oscar of Design". The awards cover four fields: product design, communication design, packaging design, and material design. The evaluation criteria of the iF Design Award include strict indicators such as design quality, innovation, functionality, ergonomics, environmental protection, and universal design.

This year, all the award-winning works will be exhibited at the Hanover Exhibition Center, and past iF award-winning works will also be displayed at the new HafenCity in Hamburg, with exhibition periods lasting up to 9 months. In addition, the award-winning works will also be exhibited in Hainan Province, China.

　　Since its debut in October 2010, the EQUO LED desk lamp has attracted increasing attention from around the world and has won multiple design awards, including the 2010 Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award, the 2010 Spark Award, the 2011 Bloom Award, the 2010 NGL Award of Excellence, the 2011 Red Dot Design Award, and the 2011 Japan Institute of Design Promotion Good Design Award.

　　The EQUO desk lamp features a special LED module designed by Koncept, offering an integrated style that is elegant and environmentally friendly. The lamp has a streamlined, balanced design and allows for quick dimming. The ultra-thin arm is made of lightweight aluminum alloy; when the arm moves up or down, the lamp head stays in the same direction. The lamp consumes only 6 watts over 50,000 hours of use. An optional sensor is also available: the lamp automatically turns off when you leave and turns on when you return, saving even more energy. The EQUO desk lamp comes in three colors: orange, black, and silver, and is available in warm white (3,500 K) or daylight white (5,000 K).
