Cintelliq forecasts OLED lighting market to reach $2.8 billion by 2020

　　British organic electronics consultancy Cintelliq recently released an OLED lighting market forecast report, which analyzes the current state of the OLED lighting industry, including current products, prices, productivity, costs, future developments, and market forecasts.

　　As a professional organic semiconductor technology and market analysis company, Cintelliq has been tracking and researching patents, investments, and market conditions in the organic semiconductor industry since its founding. The company publishes its Organic Semiconductor Analyst Report (OSPA) every quarter, which covers the latest patent developments issued by patent offices around the world, including those in Europe, the United States, Japan, and other countries and regions.

　　In its report titled "OLED Lighting: Products, Prices, Productivity, Costs and Outlook 2011-2020," Cintelliq pointed out that within a few years, OLED lighting will strongly compete with LED lighting in home and office applications, and forecasts that the OLED lighting market will reach $2.8 billion by 2020.

　　Craig Cruickshank, Chief Analyst at Cintelliq, introduced: "This latest report points out that by 2020, the OLED lighting market will reach 2.8 billion US dollars, panel prices will be 20 US dollars per thousand lumens, and production capacity will be equivalent to over 60 million 2-foot fluorescent lamps. As OLED lighting manufacturers continue to improve production capacity, output and product performance, panel prices will drop significantly in the next 2 to 5 years. The adoption of Gen-5.5 manufacturing equipment will further drive prices down, combined with improvements in equipment performance, leading to lower costs and higher production volumes. From 2015 to 2020, OLED lighting will become a strong competitor to LED lighting in home and office applications."
