Germany's Largest LED Flashlight Ever Made Sets a World Record

This is not a flashlight you can easily slip into your pocket: on the 24th, the Festival of Lights held in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, showcased the world's largest flashlight. This flashlight, produced by Zweibrueder Optoelectronics (德国菲蒲光电科技有限公司), is 4 meters long and equipped with 19 high-performance LED bulbs. Due to the production of this flashlight, the company entered the Guinness Book of Records. Sven Objartel, Managing Director of Zweibrueder Optoelectronics, stated: "This flashlight is not only a high-performance product, but its creation would not have been possible without the 230 hours of diligent work by our staff."

The bulbs were not designed in the usual size, and they also stand out in terms of energy efficiency. Current LED lights are up to 13 times more energy-efficient and last up to 1000 times longer than traditional bulbs. LEDs are semiconductor-based electronic light sources that emit light when powered. If this flashlight produces a luminous flux of 100,000 lumens when powered, it will consume 1000 watts. In comparison, 250 traditional 40-watt bulbs consume 10,000 watts.
