The First China (Jiangmen) Green (Semiconductor) Light Source International Expo will be held in Jiangmen on the 28th-30th of this month. The organizing committee of this event held a press conference in Guangzhou this afternoon. The meeting revealed that the exhibition recruitment situation for this event, guided by the Electronic Information Department and the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and jointly organized by the Guangdong Provincial Economic and Information Commission, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Jiangmen Municipal People's Government, is extremely hot. A large number of domestic and foreign enterprises have registered enthusiastically, and over 160 enterprises including Citizen, Neo-Neon, Aolande, Kingsun, and Delixi have confirmed their appearance. The 12 specially-decorated booths and 180 standard booths originally planned by the event organizers have been fully booked, and nearly 80 additional standard booths have been added. It is expected that the number of visitors at that time will reach 20,000.

At the press conference, when introducing the background of the "Light Expo," Vice Mayor of Jiangmen City Yi Zhongqiang stated that the rapid development of the LED industry was the foundation that enabled the Light Expo to be held in Jiangmen City, and the support from all sectors of society was the driving force behind holding the Light Expo in Jiangmen. In recent years, the Jiangmen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have actively implemented the important deployments of the state and province to vigorously develop strategic emerging industries and accelerate the transformation of the development mode. Targeting LED as an emerging industry, they have promoted the accelerated development of the LED industry and achieved remarkable results.

Regarding the significance of holding the "Light Expo," Yi Zhongqiang emphasized: Vigorously developing the LED industry is a positioning requirement for building Jiangmen into a "Key Development Zone for Advanced Manufacturing." Through the form of an exposition, an authoritative exhibition platform integrating multiple functions such as corporate publicity, product display, business negotiations, summit forums, technical exchanges, standard releases, and publicity and implementation can be built. Regarding the approach to promoting the development of the LED industry, Guangdong closely follows a core strategy of innovation-driven development, creating an environment for independent innovation, integrating innovation resources, tackling core technologies, and comprehensively enhancing the independent innovation capability and comprehensive competitiveness of the LED industry. At the same time, it focuses on the two key points of "core technologies and equipment in the high-end segment" and "product promotion and application." In the upstream segment, the focus is on breaking through core equipment and key supporting materials such as MOCVD, obtaining independent intellectual property rights, and seizing the commanding heights of industrial development; in the market application segment, the focus is on expanding the application scale of LED products to drive rapid market growth.
