美国发明提高绿光LED光效的新方法
日前，美国伦斯勒理工学院研究人员发现，在LED的蓝宝石衬底和氮化镓层的交界处进行纳米级蚀刻，使LED产生绿光，可极大改进光提取、内部效率和发光量等方面。
电脑显示器和电视机是通过红色、蓝色和绿色来显示颜色的，红色和蓝色LED已经实现高质廉价生产目标，因而绿色LED生产技术是业界一直以来寻求的突破。
该技术基于最廉价的蓝宝石衬底来实现，并会改进红蓝LED的光输出，必将推动LED朝着高性能低成本的方向发展。
