Weifang Optoelectronic Characteristic Industrial Base Selected as China's National Torch Program Characteristic Industrial Base

　　Recently, the Weifang Optoelectronic Characteristic Industrial Base built in Weifang High-tech Zone was included in the 11 newly recognized National Torch Program Characteristic Industrial Bases by the Torch Center of China's Ministry of Science and Technology.

　　Over the past two years, Weifang High-tech Zone has seized the opportunity of establishing a national innovative science and technology park and an emerging high-end industrial cluster area, core area, and demonstration area, accelerating the concentration of innovative resources, strengthening the support of innovation carriers, and striving to build four major national-level characteristic industrial bases including power machinery, electroacoustic devices, semiconductor lighting, and optoelectronics.

　　Currently, the base has initially formed an LED and LD industrial chain of "substrate — epitaxial wafer — chip — device — application system" led by China Micro Photonics, Inspur Huaguang, Goertek Optoelectronics, and Yuanpu Optics, as well as a photovoltaic industrial chain of "silicon wafer — cell — battery module — application system" led by Yujun New Energy and Guangsheng New Energy.
