Taiwan LED Lighting to Target NT$200 Billion Output Value in 2012

Source: 互联网 Views: 4082

In 2010, Taiwan's LED lighting output value surged by 65%, breaking through NT$100 billion for the first time, reaching a scale of NT$151.6 billion. In 2012, it will continue to grow by 32%, targeting NT$200 billion in output value. For the overall LED market supply and demand, whether China's production capacity will be released will be the key.

Among these, LED lighting will become one of the driving forces for the growth of Taiwan's optoelectronics industry. In 2011, high-power LED prices are estimated to decline by 15~20% throughout the year. From a global perspective, LED lighting accounted for only 3% of the overall lighting market penetration rate in 2010, is expected to grow to 5% in 2011, and will reach 11% in 2012, with the overall LED lighting output value exceeding US$10 billion. Last year, lighting applications accounted for only 14% of LED applications, and by 2014, they are estimated to account for 24%, second only to signal and indicator light applications.
