Phase I Lighting Industry Project of the Henan Zhengzhou Solid-State Lighting Industrialization Application Demonstration Base Officially Commences Production

Recently, the Henan Zhengzhou Solid-State Lighting Industrialization Application Demonstration Base, with a total investment of RMB 2 billion, and the Shengmao Optoelectronics Solid-State Lighting Industrialization Phase I Lighting Industry Project, with an investment of RMB 640 million, have officially commenced production, mainly manufacturing LED lighting products.

　　The Zhengzhou Solid-State Lighting Industrialization Application Demonstration Base, with Henan Shengmao Optoelectronics Company as the main entity, started construction in October 2009. It is built in two phases and is the largest solid-state lighting industrial park in central and western China. The Phase II project of the base has also commenced construction and will begin trial production in Q3 2011. The entire project is expected to be completed in 2013.

　　Upon completion of the entire project, the annual output value will exceed RMB 10 billion, generating profits and taxes of over RMB 2 billion. It is estimated that in 2011, 200,000 LED lighting products including traffic signal lights will be produced, with sales revenue of no less than RMB 1 billion. After the Phase I LED lighting project is put into production in 2012, an additional production capacity of RMB 3 billion will be added.
