Recently, Zhuosheng Lighting and ams OSRAM have reached a new milestone in their strategic partnership: building on the existing ten-year strategic brand licensing agreement, the scope of authorized products has been further expanded. For the first time, the “OSRAM” and “OSRAM” trademarks now cover the entire range of signage systems.

Under the terms of the trademark licensing agreement (TMLA), Zhuoxin Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhuosheng Lighting Co., Ltd., along with their subsidiaries, have been granted exclusive rights to use the “OSRAM” and “OSRAM” trademarks. This latest expansion adds signage systems to the list of licensed product categories, covering LED modules for signage, driver units, and enclosures for signage fixtures.

This marks the third expansion of the licensing agreement since Zhuosheng Lighting established its brand‑licensing partnership with ams OSRAM in 2022, making signage systems the fourth major category included in the authorization list. For the first time, the scope of authorization extends beyond finished luminaires to encompass component‑level systems.

Previously, Zhuosheng Lighting had already secured trademark licenses for three major product categories: general‑purpose lighting fixtures—including professional and consumer‑grade luminaires as well as flexible LED strips—dynamic lighting products, and light poles along with related pole accessories. In January 2026, the two parties renewed their ten‑year strategic brand licensing agreement; this latest expansion represents the first significant enhancement since the start of the new decade‑long cycle.

From an industry perspective, the strategic significance of this expansion goes far beyond simply adding another product category. While previous authorizations covered finished luminaires, the inclusion of signage systems brings the licensing scope directly down to the component level—modules, drivers, and enclosures. This means that what OSRAM is granting to Zhuosheng is no longer limited to brand‑use rights for specific end‑products; instead, it establishes a comprehensive “lighting system capability,” enabling Zhuosheng to evolve from a lighting‑product manufacturer into a provider of signage‑system solutions. Its customer base likewise expands—from lighting‑project contractors to signage manufacturers, branded retail chains, and commercial‑space operators.

This strategic move aligns perfectly with Zhuosheng’s technological DNA. Zhuosheng’s Traxon e:cue division originally specialized in dynamic lighting control and architectural media façades, having contributed to landmark projects worldwide such as the Shanghai Tower, China Zun, and Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands. As an essential medium for conveying information on building façades, signage systems serve as a natural gateway through which light transitions from “illuminating space” to “expressing space,” creating strong technical synergies with e:cue’s intelligent control solutions.

Looking back at the evolution of the licensing relationship between the two parties, it has consistently followed a single underlying logic: the carriers of light are continually expanding—luminaires represent points and lines of light, light poles function as urban furniture, and signage serves as the interface for conveying information. Driven by diverse demands—including revitalizing storefronts in retail chains, upgrading brand‑identity displays, standardizing urban wayfinding systems, and creating immersive nighttime tourism experiences—signage systems are emerging as a growth segment that combines broad market reach with strong customer‑retention potential.

This latest licensing agreement officially completes Zhuosheng Lighting’s integrated “luminaire–pole–signage” ecosystem. With the integration of LED signage modules and e:cue’s intelligent control, static signs gain the potential to transform into dynamic media interfaces, laying the groundwork for seamless convergence between “light‑based display” and smart signage applications.

The fourth piece of the puzzle has now fallen into place, pointing toward the next decade of deep integration between light and information, light and space, and light and the urban environment.
