Association leaders were invited to attend the 8th China Tunnel Lighting and Safety Forum / Conference / Exhibition.

On October 15–16, 2026, the 8th China Tunnel Lighting and Safety Forum was held by the shores of Bai Ma Lake in Hangzhou. With the theme “Smart Transportation, Safe and Smooth,” the forum brought together over 160 experts and engineering representatives from national transportation planning agencies, research institutions, tunnel operators, and the lighting Industry / Supply chain.

Earlier in the event, participants conducted an on-site inspection of the Xiaoling Tunnel along the Chaiya Line, discussing practical challenges such as low-level lighting, driver visual comfort, and field operations. At the opening ceremony, numerous industry experts delivered remarks. Chairman Shen Wei of the Zhejiang Lighting Electrical Appliances Association attended the forum upon invitation and addressed the gathering during the opening session.

During the forum, more than ten industry experts presented their technical findings and case studies on hot topics including the integration of green energy with tunnel lighting, AI- and AIoT-based smart tunnel Solutions, intelligent control systems that adapt to vehicle movement, DC microgrid power supply, practical applications of low-level approach lighting, and human factors–based visual assessments. The conference also featured roundtable discussions, partner recognition ceremonies, and product‑technology showcases, fostering in-depth dialogue around pressing industry issues. Following the sessions, a guided visit to benchmark factories within the lighting Industry / Supply chain was organized.

Throughout the event, Chairman Shen Wei engaged in extensive exchanges with transportation and lighting experts and enterprise representatives from across the country, gaining insights into cutting-edge tunnel lighting technologies and real-world implementation experiences. The Zhejiang Lighting Electrical Appliances Association will continue to monitor technological innovations in the field of transportation tunnel lighting, encouraging local lighting companies to actively participate in smart transportation initiatives, thereby supporting the high-quality development of tunnel lighting toward greater safety, intelligence, and sustainability.
