Major News: AI Robotics Giant Acquires Smart Lighting Brand Nanoleaf for $40.53 Million
Recently, OneRobotics, known as the "first listed company for AI embodied home robots," announced that it has signed an investment agreement with the core founders of Nanoleaf Limited (Qiguang Wanwu), a global brand for spatial intelligent interaction and smart lighting. The company plans to acquire 100% equity of Nanoleaf for a total consideration of $40.5367 million (approximately RMB 270 million). Upon completion of the transaction, Nanoleaf will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of OneRobotics.
According to available information, OneRobotics was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Shenzhen. It was jointly established by Harbin Institute of Technology alumni Li Zhichen and Pan Yang. On December 30, 2025, it was officially listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the first listed company for AI embodied home robots globally.
The company adopts a "one brain, multiple forms" technical path, with its self-developed AI brain OneModel at the core, enabling capability reuse and continuous iteration across various robot forms. It has created a product matrix covering three major scenarios: home services, sports and health, and emotional companionship. Currently, OneRobotics products have been deployed in more than 90 countries and regions worldwide, serving over 3.6 million users. Its globally pioneering AI tennis robot Acemate and the first AI companion robot with locally deployed large models, Kata Friends, have gained widespread market recognition.

Nanoleaf is a technology company deeply engaged in the field of spatial intelligent interaction. By leveraging its self-developed technologies in artificial intelligence, spatial perception, and smart interaction, it transforms cutting-edge technological innovations into consumer electronics that seamlessly integrate into daily life.
The company has established long-term ecosystem partnerships with leading international platforms such as Apple, Google, and Samsung. Its products are available in Apple's global official retail channels, and it has achieved deep cooperation with major retailers like Costco, Best Buy, and Home Depot, achieving significant success in cross-border e-commerce. Its products are sold in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific markets, with localized operation teams established in North America and Europe.
It is worth mentioning that this startup, headquartered in Toronto, Canada, initially started with energy-saving LED light bulbs and later began offering modular LED panels, becoming widely known in the industry. Most representative is its "Light Panels" series, a modular, programmable lighting panel system that supports free assembly between different shapes (such as triangles, hexagons, etc.) to form colorful lighting walls. Over more than a decade, Nanoleaf has grown into a comprehensive lighting brand spanning design, aesthetics, energy-saving technology, and smart control, making it one of the most innovative brands in the lighting industry, gradually expanding from lighting into the smart ecosystem.
