Recently, the first batch of 101 "smart energy-storage street lights" was illuminated on Shangxiang Road, Chatang Road, and Dongjiao Branch Road, marking Hangzhou's innovative breakthrough in achieving the "dual carbon" goals and building a resilient city in the field of urban lighting.

As the nation's first batch-scale energy-storage street light project, its core advantage lies in"peak shaving and valley filling" intelligent electricity consumption strategy:


Off-peak electricity period

During off-peak hours, the luminaire is powered on and the battery is charged, making full use of green energy during low-load periods of the grid.


Peak electricity period

Automatically switch to battery power mode during peak hours, fully utilizing green energy from off-peak periods while reducing electrical load during peak times.


Smart Management

Adjust electricity usage strategies in a timely manner based on changes in peak-valley electricity policies and combined with AI electricity price prediction functions, optimize energy use and load demand, and optimize energy allocation in real time.

Through this innovative model, it is expected to reduce regional lighting energy consumption by more than 30%, reduce carbon emissions by over 100 tons annually, providing a quantifiable and replicable "Hangzhou Model" for carbon neutrality in the urban lighting sector.

The successful implementation of this pilot project not only achieved "dual carbon reduction" in urban infrastructure construction, but also further deepened the smart management of urban lighting facilities. The intelligent IoT system equipped on this batch of energy storage street lights, combined with cutting-edge technologies such as energy storage and intelligent IoT, achieves multiple emergency functions, allowing corresponding emergency strategies to be set according to different emergency plans:

Extreme Weather Response

Automatically activate emergency power supply mode to ensure uninterrupted lighting during disasters such as heavy rain and typhoons.


Emergency Response

Monitor the operating status of each street light in real time, precisely locate faults, and enable rapid deployment of emergency lighting, thereby accurately grasping urban lighting conditions and automatically adjusting power supply methods to build a refined management system.
