LED Display Industry "Accelerates" During Spring Festival, with Billions in Projects Landing Intensively

During the Spring Festival, the heat of the LED display industry continues to rise. Many companies are actively laying out major projects. From Mini-LED to Micro LED, technological innovation and production capacity expansion have become the dual engines driving industry development.


The second phase of Xingke Advanced Optoelectronic Display Industry Project is accelerating construction


On February 8, during Zhejiang's commencement ceremony for major projects in the first quarter of 2025, the second phase of Xingke Advanced Optoelectronic Display Industry Project attracted significant attention, with a total investment of 19 billion yuan. Notably, on December 28 last year, the first production line for high-performance carrier boards at Zhejiang Xingke Phase I was successfully ignited, and the second phase project started just over a month later.


The Xingke Optoelectronics project covers a total land area of approximately 700 mu and is planned to be constructed in two phases, including multiple sub-projects such as high-performance carrier glass, an intelligent manufacturing base and research institute, high-end flexible display devices, and MLED display chips and modules. Upon completion and full production of the Phase II project, it will have an annual output of 1.5 million sets of MLED chips, 55,000 square meters of new MLED display modules, 10 million pieces of flexible display devices, and 22 million square meters of ultra-wide carrier glass , striving to build the largest domestic production base for high-performance carrier glass and vigorously promoting the development of the new display industry.


Launch of Lingwei Vision's Greater Bay Area Headquarters Production and R&D Base Project


On February 7, the Nansha District of Guangzhou launched the Greater Bay Area Headquarters Production and R&D Base Project for Lingwei Automotive Intelligent Vision Products, with a total investment of 2.48 billion yuan , covering an area of approximately 72 mu. After the project reaches full production, it will form a production capacity scale of more than 700,000 sets of intelligent headlight systems, 700,000 sets of intelligent taillight systems, and 200,000 vehicle-mounted HUD devices per year , becoming the headquarters for Jinko Electronics 's business segment focused on intelligent automotive vision products and systems.

Lingwei Vision originates from Guangdong Jinko Electronics Co., Ltd., focusing on intelligent automotive vision products and systems, mainly engaged in intelligent LED vehicle lights and vehicle-mounted head-up display (HUD) devices. Established in August 2006, Jinko Electronics is headquartered in Nansha, Guangzhou, with R&D centers and production bases in Guangzhou, Guangdong; Ningbo, Zhejiang; and Changsha, Hunan. It is a leading Chinese supplier of "LED+" technology-based intelligent vision products and system solutions, with businesses covering intelligent automotive vision, high-end lighting, and new displays.


From the perspective of business structure, Jinko Electronics' main revenue sources are intelligent automotive vision, high-end lighting, and new display products. An announcement released on February 6 shows that the attributable net profit to shareholders for the year 2024 is expected to be no less than 93 million yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of no less than 40%; the adjusted attributable net profit is expected to be no less than 130 million yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of no less than 70%.


CVTE Global Headquarters Base and Smart Healthcare Project Advancement

It is reported that CVTE's global headquarters project focuses on multiple frontier fields such as commercial display and audio-video equipment, computing devices, power electronics, robotics, and artificial intelligence, carrying out in-depth technical pre-research and product development to achieve technological breakthroughs and innovative results in these areas. The smart healthcare project, with research in life sciences as its core focus, emphasizes the exploration and study of full-cycle medical health management models, aiming to promote the high-quality development of medical services and the medical device industry.

CVTE has always focused on the fields of display, interactive control, and connectivity technology. With keen insight into industry trends, it has actively carried out technical breakthroughs and product development in emerging display technologies such as Mini LED backlighting in recent years, continuously promoting technological innovation and product iteration upgrades. HKC Mini LED Backlight/Direct Display Module and Complete Machine Project Commences Construction


On February 5, during the centralized commencement ceremony for the first batch of major projects in Liuyang City in 2025, the HKC Mini LED backlight/direct display module and complete unit project was officially launched. The project has a total investment of up to RMB 9 billion, covering an area of approximately 109 mu. It took less than one month from signing to commencement, demonstrating remarkable efficiency.


Since its establishment in 2001, HKC has continuously deepened its presence in the semiconductor display field and has grown into a globally renowned panel enterprise. Over the past year, HKC has steadily increased its investment in the Mini/Micro LED display sector. In addition to this Liuyang project, last October it launched a Mini LED project with a total investment of RMB 7 billion in Mianyang, Sichuan; in May, the HKC Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Complex in Changsha, with a total investment of RMB 5 billion, neared completion; and in January, HKC Yichang promoted the implementation of MLED COB products.

On the product front, HKC showcased leading-edge new technologies for Mini/Micro LED direct display and backlight display. For instance, the Mini LED monitor adopts AM driving technology, features 1,152 zones and 16-bit pure DC dimming technology, achieves a color depth of 10 bits, covers 90% of the high color gamut with quantum film, and delivers a contrast ratio of up to 5,000,000:1; the 12.3-inch Mini LED backlight automotive screen boasts a million-level ultra-high contrast ratio; additionally, it lit up the industry’s first 6.67-inch Micro LED direct display panel with a glass-based HMO backplane. These products highlight HKC’s profound strength and innovation capabilities in display technology.


Ruihua Optoelectronics accelerates production capacity expansion


On February 4, the Mini/Micro LED production workshop on the first floor of Hubei Ruihua Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. was operating overtime. This year, the workshop added 16 production lines, with 9 already debugged and running normally, and 7 currently being debugged. Of the 18 production lines, 16 are used for producing backlight light sources for Mini/Micro LED displays, and 2 produce backlight light sources for automotive displays.


Ruihua Optoelectronics was established on April 2, 2021, located in the Gedian Development Zone of Ezhou City, Hubei Province. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Refond Optoelectronics, with its main business being full-color LED packaging and Mini LED backlight packaging. The company's new display production and manufacturing base has a total investment of 5 billion yuan, acquiring over 200 mu of state-owned construction land, with a total building area of approximately 270,000 square meters.


Since the start of production, Ruihua Optoelectronics' output value has increased year by year, reaching 130 million yuan in 2022, 310 million yuan in 2023, and over 400 million yuan in 2024, with an expected reach of 600 million yuan this year. Orders for the first quarter are already fully booked, and the company plans to start the second phase of the project, aiming to build the largest production base in the country, demonstrating strong market competitiveness and development potential.
