Recently, the Hainan Provincial Market Supervision Administration conducted supervisory spot checks on children's desk lamp products in the circulation sector across the province. This spot check found that 4 batches failed to meet the standard requirements for safety-related items. The non-compliant items involved were: resistance to heat, fire and tracking, and construction; 3 batches of products failed to meet usability requirements, with the non-compliant item being: markings. The main reason for non-compliance in the items of resistance to heat, fire and tracking is that the insulating materials selected for children's desk lamps are not flame-retardant. Resistance to heat, fire and tracking primarily assesses whether there is a high-temperature hazard during normal operation and whether the non-metallic parts have safe and effective resistance to abnormal heat. The main reason for non-compliance in construction is unreasonable product design; the structural design of children's desk lamps does not meet standard requirements, which may cause mechanical, electrical, radiation and other hazards.
