The 4th Urban Green Lighting Forum and the 2024 Academic Annual Conference of the Jiangsu Provincial Illuminating Engineering Society, hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Illuminating Engineering Society, was grandly held at the Nanjing Central Hotel on November 22, 2024. During the conference, the announcement ceremony for the selected list of the Jiangsu Province Young Sci-Tech Talent Support Project (construction and lighting fields) and the award ceremony for the 6th Yangzi Cup Lighting Technology Award were held. Nearly 200 leaders, experts, and entrepreneurs from the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, lighting management departments, universities and colleges, scientific research and design units, product manufacturing and engineering enterprises from inside and outside the province, and sister city lighting societies (associations) attended the meeting, while over 1,000 industry professionals watched the live online broadcast. Wang Xiaofeng, Inspector of the Jiangsu Provincial Association for Science and Technology, a contributor researcher from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Pan Jianggen, Vice Chairman of the China Illuminating Engineering Society, attended and delivered speeches. Wang Haibo, Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Illuminating Engineering Society, delivered the welcome address. Leaders and experts from the urban lighting management departments of Nanjing, Wuxi, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Suzhou, Nantong, Huai'an, Yancheng, Yangzhou, and Zhenjiang attended the conference. The conference themed "Building High-Level Urban Lighting with New Quality Productive Forces" focused on discussions about applying and cultivating new quality productive forces to inject new momentum into the development of the lighting industry. Announcement and Award Ceremony of the Yangzi Cup Lighting Technology Award
The Yangzi Cup Lighting Technology Award of the Jiangsu Illuminating Engineering Society is an authoritative lighting award with certain influence in China's lighting field, registered with the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Since its inception in 2019, six editions have been held so far. The 6th (2024) Yangzi Cup Lighting Technology Award was launched in April this year, receiving over 100 application projects in three major categories: product technology, engineering demonstration, and planning and design. After procedures including formal review, preliminary evaluation by the expert review panel, and public announcement, the final results were confirmed by the Review Committee. The award ceremony was held on November 22 during the "4th Urban Green Lighting Forum and 2024 Annual Academic Conference of the Jiangsu Illuminating Engineering Society".
Jiangsu Hengyuan Fountain Co., Ltd., a renowned enterprise in China's waterscape sector, was the exclusive sponsor of this awards ceremony.
