Accounts for 89%

From January to August, China's LED Electric light source products (LED bulbs, LED tubes, LED modules) continued to see rising export volumes, reaching approximately 7.7 billion units, a year-on-year increase of about 74%; accounting for 89% of China's total electric light source exports for general lighting, up by 9 percentage points from the same period last year, and up by 28 percentage points compared to 2019 before the pandemic. Among China's LED electric light source products, the fastest-growing export product is LED module products. In the first eight months, influenced by factors such as the transfer of overseas export orders and strengthened production in emerging manufacturing countries, China's LED module export volume reached 3.2 billion units, a year-on-year increase of about 534%, setting the best record since customs statistics began for this product.

In addition, due to the accelerated phase-out of high-energy-consuming traditional electric light source products such as fluorescent lamps, overseas markets have increased imports of China's LED bulb products. From January to August, China's export volume of LED bulb products was approximately 4.1 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 17% .
