According to incomplete statistics, in the first half of 2024, North America (United States, Canada) issued quality notifications for five Chinese lighting export products, including LED vanity wall lights, LED light strips, and LED high-bay lights.
Among them, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada jointly issued quality notifications for two products: Chinese-made LED high-bay lights, rechargeable LED integrated lights, among other two products. Its main quality defects include: product wires are prone to short circuits and overheating; plastic pins fixing the LED board may age, causing related components to loosen and come into contact with combustible materials; the accompanying battery may overheat and ignite the product's plastic housing; and label information is incorrect. These defects may lead to risks such as fire, explosion, and electric shock. It is hoped that lighting Export enterprises will attach importance to the image of Made in China, continuously improve the quality of Export products, and promote the high-quality development of the industry's foreign trade market.
