On July 23, the company announced that, based on operational and management needs and after comprehensive consideration of the nominee's educational background, professional experience, and professional competence, the Nomination Committee approved the appointment, and the Board of Directors agreed to appoint Mr. Liu Zhengdong as the company's president. This resolution was passed at the 38th meeting of the fifth Board of Directors.

The announcement disclosed Mr. Liu Zhengdong's resume. The resume shows that Mr. Liu Zhengdong, born in 1982, is 42 years old this year. He is a member of the Communist Party of China, holds a postgraduate degree, and is an engineer and economist. He previously served as Department Manager of the Planning and Development Department and Deputy General Manager at Guangzhou Xinruan Computer Technology Co., Ltd.; Director and Deputy General Manager at Guangdong Dongfang Siwei Technology Co., Ltd.; Assistant to the General Manager at Guangdong Guangyan Real Estate Development Co., Ltd.; Senior Business Manager of the Comprehensive Affairs Department, Deputy Minister of the Market Operation Department (Director of the Information Center), and Deputy Minister of the Strategy and Management Innovation Department at Guangdong Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd.; Minister of the E-commerce and Chain Business Division and Director of the Digital Transformation Service Center at Guangdong Guangyan Group Co., Ltd.; Party Branch Secretary, Executive Director, and General Manager at Guangdong Guangyan Food Safety Cloud Commerce Technology Co., Ltd. He currently serves as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the company.

It is worth mentioning that, as of now, Mr. Liu Zhengdong does not hold any shares in the company, and has no affiliated relationship with the company's controlling shareholders, actual controllers, shareholders holding more than 5% of the company's shares, or other directors, supervisors, and senior management personnel of the company. This indicates that Mr. Liu Zhengdong may be a professional manager.

In the past two years, NationStar Optoelectronics has undergone a major leadership reshuffle. In December 2023, NationStar Optoelectronics announced that due to job reassignment, Li Cheng applied to resign from his positions as Director, President, and relevant roles on the Board's specialized committees. After his resignation, Li Cheng will no longer hold any other positions within the company.

In addition, last September, NationStar Optoelectronics announced that it had received written resignation reports from Chairman Wang Jia and Employee Director Wan Shan. After their resignations, Wang Jia and Wan Shan will no longer hold any other positions within the company. The new chairman is Lei Zihe from . Lei Zihe previously worked at NationStar Optoelectronics, serving as Executive Deputy General Manager, and later served as Chairman of Foshan NationStar Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., as well as Party Committee Member, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and General Manager of Foshan Electrical and Lighting Co., Ltd.

In terms of performance, NationStar Optoelectronics achieved revenue of RMB 3.542 billion in 2023, a Year-on-year (YoY) decrease of 1.07%; Net profit was RMB 86 million, a Year-on-year (YoY) decrease of 29.43%.

In the first quarter of 2024, the company achieved total operating revenue of RMB 941 million, a Year-on-year (YoY) increase of 18.12%; Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 27.9434 million, a Year-on-year (YoY) increase of 29.03%. NationStar Optoelectronics stated that in the first quarter of 2024, the company's key account strategy yielded results, with core business achieving good growth. Particularly in the automotive LED product business, since the beginning of this year, NationStar Optoelectronics has successively received demands for automotive LED display interaction, automotive lighting, and other areas, and has worked with customers to develop Solution.

NationStar Optoelectronics stated that in the first quarter, the company's key account strategy yielded results, with core businesses achieving solid growth. Its independently developed "LED devices for HD displays" were recognized as a National Manufacturing Single Champion Enterprise, affirming its technical and product strength. Furthermore, the company is conducting technological breakthroughs in key core areas such as Micro/Mini LED, new optoelectronic devices, and automotive LED, accelerating the creation and reserve of high-value patents. Three products—"Mini LED display devices," "High-efficacy UV LED," and "High-reliability automotive LED"—were awarded the title of "2023 Guangdong Famous and High-quality High-tech Products."

It is reported that NationStar Optoelectronics has long focused on the LED packaging business and has recently made layouts in new tracks. For instance, since last year, the company has targeted the automotive LED sector, establishing the Automotive LED Business Unit to deeply advance its automotive LED business layout, integrating existing automotive LED operations. In the future, it will continue to increase its layout in the automotive LED and even automotive electronics fields, such as automotive HUDs, automotive displays, and automotive power modules.

In addition, in 2022, the company acquired Fenghua Xindian, entering the integrated circuit semiconductor packaging and testing business. In the future, it plans to continue expanding and strengthening the Fenghua Xindian business through acquisitions and other means.
