You Zeyong, President of the Gaoyou Luminaire Association, stated in his address that Gaoyou, as a manufacturing base for street lights, is closely related to this exhibition. The continuous holding of the exhibition has increasingly expanded its influence. Gaoyou has a long history of street light manufacturing and large production capacity, and is currently following national strategies for comprehensive development. He praised the many advantages of the Yangzhou Outdoor Lighting Exhibition: first, its specialization, as the exhibition mainly focuses on street light products and accessories; second, its cost-effectiveness, as the moderate scale makes visiting and exhibiting convenient; and third, its proximity to the street light manufacturing origin. Meanwhile, he indicated that this Forum, focusing on smart multi-function poles, provides a valuable platform for experience exchange and cooperation among regions, enterprises, and institutions regarding the application and green development of smart multi-function poles.

Theme Sharing

In the theme sharing session of this Forum, Gao Hong, Director of the Energy Conservation Division of the National Energy Conservation Center, delivered the opening keynote speech. She stated that Jiangsu Province is at the forefront of the country in the practice of smart city smart multi-function poles, and has also provided a good practical basis for the formulation of national standards. She expressed hope that Jiangsu Province would continue to lead the development of the smart city smart multi-function pole industry nationwide. In addition, Director Gao Hong introduced us to the characteristics and advantages of smart multi-function poles, the latest progress in relevant national standard work, and the next steps, providing certain directions for the future development of the smart city smart multi-function pole industry.

Wang Haibo, Chairman of the Jiangsu Lighting Society, shared with us the keynote speech titled "Green Development of Smart Cities and Smart Light Poles." He stated that, in his understanding, "green" should encompass environmental protection, energy saving, health, comfort, aesthetics, and orderliness. In his speech, Chairman Wang Haibo also elaborated on the current status of the urban lighting economy after the pandemic, policies related to urban lighting, the development of smart light poles in Jiangsu, and the innovation points of smart light poles. He proposed that smart light poles are important infrastructure for smart cities, while smart lighting is important infrastructure for urban lighting.

Wang Pengzhan, Deputy General Manager of Nanjing Street Light Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., presented the theme "Building a Digital Dual-Carbon System in the 'Lighting+' Era" at this forum. In his speech, he first discussed three aspects: "Lighting+" in cognition, dual-carbon value in cognition, and dual-carbon system in cognition. Secondly, by explaining "light" and "power saving," he introduced how to reduce resource waste and protect the ecology through "carbon + light + electricity." He also explained how to implement carbon reduction actions. He proposed establishing a lighting energy efficiency labeling system, improving the energy efficiency of the entire life cycle of lighting projects, and promoting the process of low-carbon urban lighting.

Zhou Yali, Deputy General Manager of the Technical Center at Nanjing Likong IoT Technology Co., Ltd., presented Likong's solution for intelligent and digital transformation of urban lighting. Zhou Yali, Deputy General Manager of Likong, discussed the upgrade of urban street light systems from two aspects: the four major trends in intelligent and digital urban lighting, and the upgrading and transformation of traditional centralized control "three-remote" systems. He also introduced Likong's lighting central controller in detail, allowing guests to understand the performance and advantages of Likong products through case studies. It is reported that Likong has focused on "urban lighting intelligence" for more than 20 years, with terminal users in dozens of cities across China. In addition, Phase I has invested 50 million yuan to build a 25-mu smart lighting base in the Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone.

Chen Ping, Vice President of Sales at Yangzhou Oweier Smart City Technology Co., Ltd., presented "Technical Processes of Smart Poles." She covered four aspects in her theme presentation: application scenarios of smart poles, material characteristics, processes, and recommended pole types. She presented the different features and applications of poles in four different scenarios: commercial streets, industrial parks, cultural tourism, and gardens. From these four scenarios, she recommended different types of poles. During the speech, she emphasized the roles and applications of poles made of different materials. She also expressed hope that, with the joint efforts of industry peers, the overall craftsmanship, innovation, manufacturing, and design of smart poles can be better upgraded to meet the diverse needs of smart streetlights in future development.

The final sharing guest was Liu Guangxi, Deputy Director of the National Light Industry Electric Light Source Material Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. His shared theme was "Interpretation of Design Specifications and Standards for Smart Poles." He explained smart poles from two aspects: the differences in smart pole standards and development trends. Different poles have different arrangement methods, and different application scenarios have significant differences in pole height, so there are also significant differences in pole design requirements. In this context, the National Light Industry Electric Light Source Material Quality Supervision and Inspection Center was established. Director Liu Guangxi introduced us to the development history, inspection capabilities, and technical services of the inspection center, allowing us to better understand the main work and technology of the inspection center.
