Xuyu Optoelectronics and South China Agricultural University signed the 'High-Efficiency Horticultural Lighting Source and Technology R&D Project Agreement'

On June 2, 2023, at the 3rd China Bio-Lighting Forum, Xuyu Optoelectronics & South China Agricultural University held the signing ceremony for the 'High-Efficiency Horticultural Lighting Source and Technology R&D Research Project Cooperation'. The signing of this project will promote innovation and development in horticultural lighting technology and provide more efficient and sustainable lighting solutions for facility agriculture.

Professor Liu Houcheng of South China Agricultural University & Dr. Chen Lei, Director of R&D and Board Member of Xuyu Optoelectronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., went on stage to sign the 'High-Efficiency Horticultural Lighting Source and Technology R&D Research Project Signing Ceremony'. Chairman of Jiangzhou Holding Group, Vice President of Fujian Sanan Group Zhan Zhuo, Professor Liu Shide of Shenzhen University, Dr. Li Benliang from the National Semiconductor Light Source Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center, Executive President Li Ke of the Shenzhen Facility Agriculture Industry Association, Chairman Lin Jintian of Xuyu Optoelectronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., and over 300 attending guests present at the scene jointly witnessed this signing.

At this forum, Dr. Chen Lei's speech from Xuyu Optoelectronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. attracted great attention from the attendees.

Dr. Chen Lei provided a detailed introduction in his speech to the research achievements of Xuyu Optoelectronics regarding key technologies and solutions for LED applications in horticultural lighting. He pointed out that Xuyu Optoelectronics focuses on the R&D, manufacturing, sales, and services of spectral application design for semiconductor functional devices. Its products are widely used in landscape illumination, smart home systems, commercial lighting, industrial lighting, educational lighting, and other fields, as well as innovative application areas such as horticultural lighting, UV curing, deep-UV disinfection and sterilization, infrared security and detection, and medical health.

Dr. Chen Lei emphasized that modern agricultural development requires more efficient and precise horticultural lighting technologies. Xuyu Optoelectronics' horticultural lighting LED products feature ultra-high energy efficiency, low operating heat generation, and customizable spectra, enabling plants to develop tighter node spacing while ensuring uniformity of the plant canopy. Furthermore, compared to HID or fluorescent lamps, LEDs offer a significantly longer service life.

Dr. Chen Lei also shared Xuyu Optoelectronics' product roadmap for horticultural lighting, including white LED devices, monochromatic light LED devices, high quantum efficiency white LEDs, and tinted color/white LED devices. He stated that Xuyu Optoelectronics can provide customized spectral solutions and circuit series-parallel configurations according to customer needs, collaborating with clients to develop comprehensive plant supplementary lighting solutions suitable for different scenarios.

Dr. Chen Lei's speech fully demonstrated Xuyu Optoelectronics' strength and achievements in the R&D of horticultural lighting technology, and also provided attendees with rich professional knowledge and practical experience. Xuyu Optoelectronics will continue to commit to the R&D of spectral application design for semiconductor functional devices, making greater contributions to the development of bio-lighting technology.

The successful holding of the Third China Bio-Lighting Forum showcased the latest research achievements in the field of bio-lighting technology in our country, and also provided a platform for exchange and learning for researchers in related fields.
