An agricultural technology company in Shouguang City, Shandong Province, has sold its containerized "vegetable factories" to many countries overseas. Although each unit costs more than 200,000 yuan, it has quickly gained favor among overseas customers such as those in Dubai. Meanwhile, during the 2022 Qatar World Cup, rows of containers from Chengdu, Sichuan, provided fresh vegetables to global fans at Al Fardan Farm, not far from Doha, the capital of Qatar. According to statistics from the China Lighting Association, in 2022, China's export volume of "other electrical luminaires and lighting installations designed for photovoltaic use and exclusively using light-emitting diode (LED) light sources" reached 320 million units, with an export value of USD 1.06 billion, accounting for approximately 1.7% of China's total lighting exports and 2.3% of the total export value of luminaire products. In terms of export destinations, these products were mainly exported to Asia, Europe, and North America, with these three regions accounting for 95% of the total export volume of such products. Recently, the 2023 German iF Design Award winners were announced. A total of 3,563 entries won awards, with 75 receiving the highest honor, the iF Gold Award. Seven of the Gold Award winners are from China, accounting for 9.3%. In the lighting category, 60 luminaire design-related entries won awards, including two Gold Awards.
