The highly anticipated new star of the lighting industry, the first professional lighting exhibition in Shenzhen in 2023 — "2022-2023 China (Shenzhen) Lighting Industry / Supply chain Technology Innovation Exhibition" (CLITI Exhibition) will grandly open on May 10, 2023, at Hall 9 of the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year's CLITI Exhibition, themed "Technology Innovation Integration, Intelligent Green Quality Improvement," not only serves as a brand-new comprehensive integrated platform combining "meetings + exhibitions" for global lighting industry trade docking, information release, and technology innovation showcase, but also represents a concrete measure for the China Association of Lighting to fulfill its "four services" functions, leading the industry to implement five major strategies: national technological self-reliance, standards and quality, digital economy, green low-carbon development, and expanded consumption.

: What do you think are the prospects and opportunities for collaboration between the interior decoration industry and lighting?

: The interior decoration industry actually covers elements such as design, construction, materials, products, furnishings, lighting, installation, maintenance, testing, evaluation, supervision, consulting, and management, forming a grand industry chain and complete service system composed of several major industries including "interior design", "interior decoration and renovation", "interior furnishing", "environmental protection in interiors", and "smart interiors". In recent years, with the development of urbanization, the real estate sector, and the upgrading of consumer markets, the interior decoration industry has consistently demonstrated sustained vitality.

: Lighting is an indispensable element in interior decoration, not only providing necessary environmental lighting assurance for indoor spaces but also interpreting the beauty of space through light. Especially with the overall improvement in consumers' economic capacity, living standards, and aesthetic needs, people are increasingly pursuing high-quality, personalized interior decoration styles and products. Therefore, while ensuring adequate indoor illumination, users also have diverse, customized, and personalized requirements for lighting environments across different spaces and times. To truly realize these needs, it requires continuous innovation and development of new products and technologies by the lighting industry, as well as strengthened collaboration with the interior decoration industry to propose specific requirements and suggestions for lighting environments and [[12. 健康照明与非视觉效应]] terms=光品质 (Light quality) from the perspective of spatial design. I believe that the integrated development of the interior decoration and lighting industries will bring broader prospects and opportunities to both fields.

: What role do you think lighting plays in indoor home decoration?

: Lighting design is an important component of interior design. In modern decorative design, lighting is not solely for achieving visual illumination; it is primarily used to create an atmosphere that enhances the living space, thereby improving the aesthetic effect of the indoor environment and serving to relax emotions and soothe the body and mind. The essence of home design is "people-oriented". Excellent lighting design and product selection can shape the spatial aesthetic value of interior decoration, showcasing corresponding themes, emotions, and artistic conceptions. Through clever design, not only can the appearance and character of the residence be highlighted, but the home can also become warmer, more romantic, and more textured.

: With technological development, the application of smart products and technologies is becoming increasingly common in the interior decoration industry. Smart lighting not only serves for illumination and decoration but also functions as a living scenario within smart homes, influencing space planning, living environments, and building structures. How to utilize whole-house smart lighting systems to achieve intelligent, healthy, and energy-saving spatial usage is a key consideration for designers today. When designing the lighting environment for overall interior decoration layouts, it is essential to meet users' needs for work and life in various conditions, flexibly integrate natural and artificial light, and create human-centric, intelligent lighting systems that foster a healthy and comfortable indoor environment.

: What role do you think the CLITI exhibition plays in the indoor home decoration industry, and what are your expectations for the CLITI exhibition?

: Last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Action Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Home Furnishing Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan"), which has pointed out the direction for deepening the integration of the home furnishing industry. The holding of the CLITI exhibition is timely; it plays a significant role in implementing the "Action Plan" and promoting the high-quality development of the lighting and home decoration industries. Adopting a "conference + exhibition" model, the CLITI exhibition conveys the latest trends in the lighting industry and cutting-edge design concepts to upstream and downstream stakeholders both within and outside the industry, enabling them to better understand and grasp the development direction of the lighting sector. This helps achieve a clever integration of interior decoration design and lighting. We look forward to using the CLITI exhibition to deepen mutual understanding between the lighting industry and the interior decoration industry, jointly promote the development of whole-house customization, strengthen cooperation in areas such as green, smart, and healthy solutions, and accelerate the emergence of new business formats for the development of the home decoration industry in the new era.

: What activities can designers gain value from?

: For every designer, whole-house design is both a holistic concept and requires sufficient understanding of each independent stage. A series of industry events organized by the China Lighting Association (CLA) alongside the CLITI Exhibition can help designers gain insights into the development trends of the lighting industry, interact with well-known designers in the field, and establish collaborations. By participating in the "China Lighting Industry Conference", designers can learn about the latest technologies, R&D achievements, and design directions in the lighting industry.
