Multiple lighting enterprises were awarded the 2022 China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Award

On April 11, the 5th Session of the 3rd Council of the China National Light Industry Council and the 8th Session of the 3rd Council of the All-China Federation of Handicraft Cooperatives were held in Xiamen, Fujian. Zhang Chonghe, President of the China National Light Industry Council and Director of the All-China Federation of Handicraft Cooperatives, delivered the council work report. Deng Xiaoding, Secondary Inspector of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Chen Chuanfang, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Fujian Province, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Cao Zhengyu, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Xiamen City, along with Wang Shicheng, Du Tonghe, Tao Xiaonian, Xu Xiangnan, He Ye, Liu Jiangyi, Li Yuzhong, Guo Yongxin, and Liu Suwen, leaders of the federation, also attended. More than 500 participants attended, including part-time vice presidents of the China National Light Industry Council, part-time deputy directors of the All-China Federation, presidents of light industry associations from various provinces and cities, directors of federations at all levels, council members, standing council members, and member representatives of the 5th Council of the China National Light Industry Council; council members, standing council members, and member unit representatives of the 8th Council of the All-China Federation; and heads of departments and offices of the China National Light Industry Council.

President Zhang Chonghe stated that 2023 is the opening year for implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and a pivotal year connecting the past and future in the implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan". The light industry and collective economy are at a historical juncture of transformation and development, with bright prospects but severe challenges. Combining the realities of the light industry sector and the General Cooperative, President Zhang Chonghe, on behalf of the Society Council, outlined ten major work deployments: Focus on trustworthy light industry to cultivate new momentum in accelerating growth recovery; focus on innovative light industry to build new advantages in technological leadership; focus on quality light industry to construct a new pattern in improving quality standards; focus on green light industry to achieve new breakthroughs in implementing the dual carbon strategy; focus on distinctive light industry to take new steps in boosting regional economic development; focus on smart light industry to demonstrate new achievements in promoting digital transformation; focus on fashionable light industry to stimulate new vitality in serving people's better life; focus on skilled light industry to bravely undertake new missions in promoting innovation in traditional crafts; focus on reform and transformation, to achieve new results in boosting the development of the collective economy; focus on political leadership to open up a new situation in enhancing the society's governance capabilities.

He Ye, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI), provided policy interpretation on promoting high-quality development in the light industry. Liu Shengping, Executive Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the list of award-winning projects for the 2022 China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Award, the list of characteristic regions and industrial clusters in China's light industry, etc., were prominently released, and plaques and certificates were awarded. Among them, 5 projects from 14 lighting enterprises and related institutions, including Zhejiang Sunshine Lighting Electrical Group Co., Ltd., Xiamen Lide Xin Lighting Co., Ltd., Shanghai Yaming Lighting Co., Ltd., Xuyu Optoelectronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Ocean King Lighting Technology Co., Ltd., Zhangzhou Lide Xin Optical Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Ningbo Euroc Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., Huizhou Ceton Lighting Industrial Co., Ltd., Dongguan Minghao Lighting Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Shangwei Lighting Co., Ltd., etc., won the 2022 China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress Award.

Technological innovation is the foundation of a healthy industry development and the winning strategy for navigating international competition. Only by continuously enhancing the industry's technological innovation capabilities can we achieve high-level self-reliance and self-strengthening in the lighting sector.
