Mingzhu Shengchu Yunxian: China Construction Lighting Illuminates Jingzhou's Tallest New Urban Landmark
Recently, a brilliant pearl has slowly risen over the magnificent Jingzhou, and a gorgeous lighthouse shines with the charm of Jingchu.

Built by China Construction Lighting, a subsidiary of China Construction Shenzhen Decoration Co., Ltd., the Jingzhou Radio and Television Transmission Tower is one of the key livelihood projects in the construction of Jingzhou's public cultural service system. With a total height of 200 meters, it is currently the tallest urban landmark in Jingzhou. This marks another achievement for China Construction Lighting in illuminating new landmarks in Jingzhou, following its role as the general contractor for the lighting project at key nodes along the Jingjiang Dike on the Yangtze River Protection Riverside Scenic Belt night tourism project.
Flowing light and color, the brilliant lotus reveals Chu charm
The TV tower uses the design element of a Chu woman looking back. Based on the line 'Make lotus leaves into clothes, gather hibiscus as skirts' from 'Li Sao', its form is undulating with smooth and natural lines, visually creating an elegant 'slender waist' shape that is both classic and dignified. However, the tower's charm is only partially revealed during the day. Night landscape lighting meticulously details the tower structure, showcasing its elegant rhythm and presenting a more unique urban nightscape landmark. This lighting project employs over 40,000 fixtures of 8 models, including point light sources, floodlights, and laser beam lights, to create three distinct modes. The basic mode covers 'Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter'; the late-night mode is 'Moonlit Starry Sky'; and the festival mode is 'Chu Rhyme Jing Style'. Through changes in Light color, dynamics, and patterns, it showcases Chu cultural charm and Jingzhou characteristics.
Technology empowers, overcomes difficulties to strengthen management
Due to the bending and twisting of the tower's outer frame and its supporting columns, combined with interference from wind, temperature differences, and sunlight, achieving high-precision positioning and measurement at altitude is challenging. Since the launch tower project commenced, it has faced significant difficulties and stringent precision requirements. Upon entering the site, based on field surveys and comprehensive considerations, we prioritized targeted analysis of critical construction areas and developed over 10 special measures for high-risk projects, including cantilevered welded non-standard suspended baskets and modular installation of petal dot-matrix screens. These solutions address challenges such as the concave tower body and the installation and commissioning of large-scale space dot-matrix screens. By utilizing BIM models to analyze installation nodes, we innovatively introduced new methods and technologies: modular construction of dot-matrix screens, anti-slip brackets for Luminaire抱箍 (clamp-type fixtures), and high-altitude stringing and positioning techniques for point-source Luminaire. We transformed major construction challenges into manageable tasks, promoting high-quality project delivery through "Technology for Safety" and "Technology for Efficiency."
Quality fulfillment, strict quality control to ensure safety

This project adopts basket operation construction, involving extremely high-altitude and edge work with great difficulty and extreme danger. The project department conducted 7 comprehensive special safety training sessions to strengthen and enhance all staff's safety professional skills and awareness. Before operations, major risks were comprehensively identified, and targeted safety protection measures were planned. During operations, hidden danger investigation and governance were strictly enforced, resolutely preventing bottom-line violations, achieving the reversal of "three violations", eliminating hazards, and ensuring safety. The project schedule was tight with closely linked processes. The project department closely monitored the material production process, strictly controlled material entry acceptance, and for critical materials constraining the schedule, dispatched dedicated personnel to the manufacturer to ensure rapid confirmation of lighting samples; overcame rainy, snowy, and windy weather to immediately follow up on quality inspection work, identified common quality defects prone to occur in various processes, compiled targeted quality briefings for worker instruction, ensuring "first-time success"; conducted all-night lighting debugging, successfully guaranteeing the basic part's Spring Festival lighting milestone and the Jingchu Culture Festival milestone.
It is reported that after the completion of the transmission tower, it will not only fulfill its original functions but also upgrade to digital high-definition broadcasting, deeply optimize the quality and coverage of CATV signal transmission, and bring a better listening and viewing experience to the audience, becoming a multi-functional tower integrating broadcast and television signal transmission with urban landscape. At the same time, as a new internet-famous check-in spot in beautiful Jingzhou, it will play a leading role in "landmark economy". More importantly, the relocation of the Jingzhou Broadcasting and Television Tower from the city center protects the long-standing historical and cultural heritage within the ancient city while providing coordinates and direction for the expansion of the main urban area and the development of new urban zones.
